Newbie - advice re slim fast?

Hi there,

I have been trying to loose a stone for about 3 or 4 months now & it just isn't happening by myself (I just try to eat healthily & exercise) so was thinking of starting slimfast - it sounds very easy & straight forward - any advice before I start? It's 2 shakes a day plus snacks, plus a meal in the evening - is this correct? The snacks don't have to be slim fast ones though do they? What's the daily calories usually for this diet?

Any advice would be much appreciated! :)

PS - Is it expensive?

Hi and welcome.
its only expensive if you keep buying the premade shakes.... (but they do taste niceer imo)
the shakes you make from powder do taste nicer with ice... so do make them with that...
what you have is and shake 2 of your meals (@approx 200ish cals per shake) and a main meal of no more than 600cals.
then you can have up to 3 snacks of no more than 100cals each...
thats the gist of it..
you dont have to have the slim fast snacks... (there is only a few anyway)
and the best thing to do is drink a ton of water...

there is a thread somewhere on here about great fanctastic ideas for 100 cal snacks!!! so ahve a look at those.....
everyone is very helpful on here, and is more than happy to answer questions

you dont have to have the snacks....
but you can... thanks for finding the link!!
you can also save them up, if you know your going to go out with friends or something that eve....
