Newbie - hiya guys

Hello - well today is the first day on this plan, and i've gotta say that i'm getting on ok (i think).
I was doing the SW plan, although it was great, i stopped losing weight after a while - and when reading a magazine i came across a voucher in a magazine and decided to go along to the meeting.
I really liked the meeting, the leader was fab, as were the other members. So i feel really quite confident at the mo.
So today i have eaten:


30g bran flakes with skimmed milk - 2 points

smoothie - 2 points


apple - 0.5 points


low fat super noodles (whole pack) - 4 points

pack of crisps - 7 points


apple - 0.5 points


prawn sandwich tesco light choices - 3.5 points

My point allowance is supposed to be 23 a day, and i know that i've not eaten that amount. I might try and have some toast or something later. Also my dinner wouldn't usually just be a sandwich, its just that i went to the gym and was starving.
Another point is that the crisps definiatley weren't the greatest choice in the world - but again i was starving and grabbed the first things i saw, thinking they would be ok i was a little shocked when i calculated the point value.

Out of interest, the leader mentioned yesterday that you are able to 'save' points and 'spend' them at the weekend. She also said that this wasn't something that we should do all the time - just on special occasions. Is this true??, i was really hoping that i could maybe save some through the week and have a few glasses of wine on friday nights.
The other thing are these 'action points'. Now i walk or ride to work everyday. It takes about 30 mins by bike, and 40 walking. I also go to the gym in the evening. Should i add these points to my daily allowance everyday???? i'm confused!!???:confused:
I'm a little apprehensive at the moment so i'm constantly checking my points book. Its definitely going to be strange going back into the whole counting portion sizes and everything. I must admit i'm a little bit worried.:rolleyes:

I'm both a WW and SW veteran and much prefer WW.

Re the activity points, you can add them to your allowance and use them but you don't have to.

Could I ask how you are in 23 points a day?
Your female , 11 stone , 20 and under? 5ft 2 ?
That's 3+11+5+1 : 20 points what job do you do?
Activity points are a mine field any exercise you have Bern doing for a long time your body would be used to so I wouldn't count them, also we have to do a certain amount of steps before we can earn Activity points a day then there's a chart to work out how many you can earn. If you go to the gym before starting ww then it may not work out your body is using Actuvity points but dint quote me in that. I don't use my A points as it's I feel like rewarding ourselves with food where that for me is like comfort eating, but people do snd they will help you work out what you could have

likewise, i am a vetran of both too. I not done WW for ages, and i hopeing that it will make me more displined, to loose weight. i love SW but need to think more about what i eating and portion sizes

Please tell me as soon as possible if this is wrong.:eek:
Also i guess if i'm not counting the action points, and should just count them as part of my every day life - shouldn't that also come in when calculating.
I'm seriously starting to worry now:confused:

That is such a weight of my mind (pardon the pun lol). I think I'm going to try and post regularly to check with you guys that I'm doing it all properly. Like I said before it's quite strange going from eating tonnes of free food and not really having to worry bout weighing to suddenly needing to do that. I think it will take a while for me to adjust to it!! Thanks guys
