Oatmeal/ Instant Porridge

Hi, I couldn't find any information on this...
Does that instant porridge stuff also count as a HEX B - I don't have a specific brand in my mind, I just generally wanted to ask. Or does it have to be whole oats?

Because if that was the case I think it would be a great flour substitute for pancakes etc :)

Unfortunately I had no response yet and the threads I could find on this were rather vague.

Just bought a box of tesco instant oat hot cereal (not the sachets!!)....i am still not sure if they count as hex b!?they got less fibre than my usual porridge but it says on the box it's high in fibre. Can anyone look it up please? And what shall I have them with?(oat bran ryvita?)

Just for clarification:this stuff is just normal porridge just in powder form:)

if you mean like ready brek you can have 28g cooked weight and 1 ryvita

yes, it's more like ready brek - tesco vlaue oats are still proper oats.

But what do you mean by cooked weight?? Alerady made with water and then weighed??But I usually have it with milk!?!How on earth can you measure cooked porridge?

Oh and if it's not ready brek but another make?? Are you sure the Tesco one still counts?

Thanks a lot! That helps :)
