    OMG I got to target tonight :D i am so excited :D any advice on how to stay on target would be appreciated please, i asked my consultant tonight but she wasn't very helpful.

    well done you deserve it,ya know i have got to target a few tomes and i must say that as much as i like slimming world over ww they dont help you to learn how to maintain where ww gave me a book to show me how,i think to stop at target you can either up your syns or have an extra healthy extra i think the extra healthy extra is a better idea because you will be having something healthy wheres if you had extra syns ya gonna start slipping into old habits but the choice is yours

    Thank you kazpeza, I will try the extra healthy extra. when i asked my consultant what do i do to maintain her answer was do what you want :confused:

    i think they say you can up ya healthy extras to as many as you like you will find what ya body needs to maintain,could be 1 or could be more ya body will tell you over time,thing is i never stopped to class after and gave up hance me putting it back on again,lol

    SW say to maintain you should up your HE's to 3 A's and 3 B's (for red and green) and if you still loose 4 A's & B's until you find a happy medium where you can maintain. Upping your syns isn't ideal as they are generally full of "naughtyness" Where as if you up your HE's it increases your intake of nutrients which is all good :)

    Well done!!! I cant offer any more advice than what has been given already, but upping the HE's will help you to maintain...you just have to work out what suits you better. You dont have to pay now either! Lol

    Congratulations on getting to target. Well done!

    I'm surprised at your consultant but I can say that my consultants (there's been a couple) have been great with target members. We get a lot of advice and support and are seen as valuable members of the group, the consultant wants us there!

    In short, you increase your healthy extras until you find a balance. Some people can have 4 or 5 of each a day, some can only have an extra one or two. However......

    I personally like to stick to plan most of the week and have a day off over the weekend, or a meal out. That is not to say I fill my face with rubbish but I will have extra bread, a bit of chocolate or a pudding etc. I also have maybe an extra B choice through the week but don't overdo it!
    Your consultant is there to help you as a target member as much as she is there to help those losing weight. Don't be fobbed off, if you need help, ask for it.
    There are a few of us target members on here so if you need any more help ask away!

    I have targeted twice in the past, increased the syns and stopped going to WI.
    Big mistakes, both of them. I was over confident and the weight crept back.
    When I reach target this time I will take all the advice I am given and continue with WI!

    Congratulations - that is fantastic news! I am still miles away from target, but I like Jaylou's approach to maintenance, being good during the week and then enjoying yourself at the weekend (within reason), even if it is not official policy.
