This still doesn't sit with me entirely well as I am one of lifes panickers, but I have had a full checkup today, Bp, bloods etc and been given the go-ahead for the gallbladder whipping out on Friday... they even called the surgeon down to come and see me and discuss the diet. Quite happy for me to remain on the diet and I can even have saline and not a dextrose drip so it wont bloat me out and bring me out of ketosis apparently.
Still feel unsure.. not sure why but the Surgeon said he will speak to the anaesthetist too just to be 100% sure but hes sure it wont be a problem..

hmmm, also completely and utterly bricking it as I am such a tart when it comes to anything like that! Have always chosen and had to beg to stay awake for my back procedures as I am so scared of being put to sleep! This one cant be done that way no matter how much I kick off :'(

    Hey Hun

Don't worry just think as soon as youre recovered you can get right back on the shakes.

I know it's a blow as it's soo hard to start the diet and be in the right frame of mind but it'll happen... Atleast you'll have your gallbladder out and can get on with things!

Look forward to eating something for a while too!
    Be positive and strong minded!

Nope, it doesnt work that way - they will not sell me the plan for at least 3 bloody months so thats my lovely slim summer out of the window by the looks of it as I cant get back on plan until mid Aug at the earliest... by then the weather will change, no easy BBQ to go with the plan and i will be back wearing my size 18s... i just know it.... I am so so annoyed/upset/angry/frustrated... so not a good day for me. Plus my 4 yr old didnt get in to ANY of the schools that we chose and has ended up in some random scraggy nuthouse/school... appealing that too! So much stress I can do without!!!

I need to ask some more Qs but need to write em down and then figure out where best to ask them as got such a busy head :(

Awww thats pants! Why won't they sell it to you for three months? If it's just that specific chemist then try another chemist or exante buy online? But if it's harmful to your health then just hold out! Maybe try a different diet? I was thinking of jumping on to juddd after this. The losses are still ok on that diet. atleast you could lose some weight, better then losing none :)

I know it's not the situation u wna be in but when these things happen in life you just gta overcome them hun!

Good luck with it all, I hope your feeling better babe!
    B xx

You shouldnt have ANY sort of VLCD for 3 months after surgery. No other chemist or Exante will sell you it if they know youve had surgery

Oh! I didn't know, that's why I was asking why. Suppose an eating diet is the only way forward. :)
