Hi I was just wondering if anyone had a reliable figure for the amount of calories in eggs!? I always thought they were pretty good for you and was planning on making a 'healthy' ommlette for tonights dinner. However when i looked up the calories of boiled eggs, fried eggs and ommlettes etc i was surprised at the high quantity of calories and also by the huge difference in information between different sites etc. Any reliable figures would be great!!

I have checked in my calorie book and it says in a medium raw egg there is 78 cals. However if you decide to be super super good, and rich! there is only 17 cals in a medium egg white! I think that is cool, no wonder meringues are so low!

Vegetable (peas, green beans and carrots) and salad and veggies in the risotto (chilli, ginger, corrinader, onion, spring onion, pepper and loads of courgette)

Total for day 730, without veg and salad - a little low? maybe some more protein needed?

Hello! I am back from my holls where i probably ate and drank far too much but back on it now (kind of!)

Tuesday:
B: Muesli (40g) and Skimmed Milk (100ml) 259 cal
L: Sainsburys - Pamplona Picante Chorizo and 3 bean soup 161 Cal (Highly recommended for a yummy, filling and low calorie lunch!)
S: Packet of skips 89 Cal
D: Very bad!! Oven Chips 200 Cal
Breaded Fish 297 Cal
Beans 173 Cal

Drinks: 2 litres of water, 2 x tea with splash of skimmed milk
Total Cals: 1221

Excersise: 40 mins run 400 Cal

Although dinner was bad I nearly managed to stick to my 1200 target!

Thanks for the egg tip kimmy!! Tonight I am going to make an ommlette with 1 egg and 2 egg whites!! Will let you know how it tastes tomorrow xx

Lou - what type of noodles are you using they are so low in calories compared to mine - I want some! How many grams did you have? Sounds a lush tea! what marinade did you have?

Fifi - dont worry bout last night, you were still well within limits! I thought the egg white thingy was a lush idea but not sure bout taste?

Excersise: Cross trainer for 40 mins - 420 cals

The omlette using 1 egg and 2 egg whites was actually really yummy and i couldn't taste the difference from a normal one!! Great low calorie dinner and actually if you were being really good you need not have the jacket potato - just loads of salad and loads of veg to put in the omlette :) xx

That omlette sounds yumma! I am glad the egg white thingy worked what did you do with the egg yolks? You could give them to ant in scrambled egg or something, I know matt would like that!

I think you should try and eat some more veggies to supplement your other foods, I tend to find the more I eat the easier it is to maintain or lose weight!
