Pink patches

Hi there . I've just completed Foundation and have to say I did struggle , even though the rest of my group were fabulous at being abstinent . Am now just starting development and sent off for the free pink patches that are supposed to suppress appetite , just in case I'm tempted to fall off the wagon , so to speak . Has anyone else tried them ? Do they actually work or are they another big con ? I know I'm not supposed to be hungry when I'm in ketosis but terrified of lapsing again . Any advice anyone ? Jeanette

Well, Jeanette - I know its a personal choice, but if I could, I would try and talk you out of using them. Otherwise you may become dependant on them - if they even work.

If you are still hungy while in ketosis, I think it's important you use this time now, to find out why, and to sort it rather then trying to mask it with a patch.

If you lapse, you lapse - but you need to find out why you lapse. If you carry on through foundation with the aid of a patch - then what will you do when foundation is over? At some stage - you will need to face it and sort it - and what better time to do it then now with the help of your counsellor?

It's all down to you, but I think its just delaying the effort that is vital to success: facing our demons.

I only speak from experience, not judgment. At the end of the day you need to do what works for you - but I would think long and hard about whether or not that is really the way to resolve you diet issues. :)

Good luck whichever way you go!

I agree with BL, Jeanette,
Having done 5 and a half months on abstinence myself, you need to trust in yourself that you can remain abstinent. If your head is in the right place and you are focussing on your long term health and well being, I don't think you'll need any chemical prompting to stay on the straight and narrow. I found development as easy as Foundation for the most part. Give it a go without the patches, I say!
