Pregnancy and Baby Advice Thread: From Conception to Birth, and Beyond!

Thanks ladies- I shall be prepared! Will try the brown sugar in water later if he hasn't had a poo, he's been farting a lot and really unsettled but still just wet nappies. He was regularly producing a dirty nappy every day so will keep an eye on it x

Teaspoon of orange juice in 1oz water should help xx

It's honestly nothing to worry about... Yet!!
Éabha went from numerous dirty nappies a day... To one every other day... N back to a couple a day now...
Think it must b everything developing n finding its own normal

I'm not overly worried at the min- he just seems uncomfortable and is farting a lot, maybe it's trapped wind as well

Girls when do you change your pram into upright seat if you know what I mean. I usually take Ben out in the pram flat but think he really wants to see more now xx

Ben was the same went from 2 poos a day to none for 3 days then every other it's perfectly normal he may well have trapped wind though try some infacol and tummy massage xx

Cole has been sat upright since about 4 months. He loves looking round. I can still lay the pram flat for sleep but if he's not tired he shouts until I sit him up. He doesn't even like looking at us anymore, he prefers forward facing :( he doesn't always win that battle though ;) xx

I tilted Éabha up when we started getting good weather.. She wasn't upright by any means but could see more...
I think as long as he's not completely upright he'll be fine... (Am no doubting myself and kinda panicking that I shouldn't have done that..... :-/)

I do the same. Not fully upright but not flat. I don't think we've done anything wrong, especially if they like it.

Thanks he's really straining and trying to pull himself up so think I will tilt it a little and see how he goes. I just took him out in a travel system someone lent me and he's sat up smiling at everyone we see lol xx

She's up straighter again now but still not completely upright... My pram is great for the different levels it lets you set it at... Cannot recommend it enough to any new mammies.. Its so light weight, easy to control, easy to fold!!! Its fab!!

Same here although Oliver always faces us. Haven't given him the option yet!

We've got a Cosatto Yo! so he can only face away from us in that. I only use it for going to my Dad's or if we go shopping and need the boot space but he loves it :)

Same here. Am not ready to face her out just yet.
But if she can't see me she strains to look round for me so she's happy enough too :)

Quick update ladies, been to hospital. I'm 3cm dilated n said my waters are bulging but not broke as of yet. They have sent me home until I am 2 min apart n contractions lasting 1 min. God I'm in agony already :-( xx

CONGRATS xxxxxxx

Oliver finally presented me with a dirty nappy!
A very dirty one!
And decided it'd be fun to carry on going once I started cleaning him up lol!
Explosive it was but he seems happier now x

Do any of your little ones wear scratch mitts? Oliver really likes to scratch himself so we've been using them constantly but I'm worried about his hands as they are really dry but if I leave them off this happens:

Ah poor little dude. We didn't use them tbh but didn't have the issues you do! I just make sure her nails are short with no sharp corners. Baby nail clippers are the best I've found, rather than scissors etc x

I use baby clippers and have never had to use mits. Poor little man that's a nasty scratch :( xx

Hi all..

Re walkers.. we brought lucas an expensive one and we put him in it and he stood there and screamed this was a patten in his walker and his jumper lol!! Lucas hated them! In the end I brought a vtech thing that he pushed. He wud climb up and walk with this early on but walked alone a week before his 1st birthday. Every baby is so different my friends lived in her walker n walked alone at 12 months. I will try this baby with one!

Xx
