I just tested this morning & i have a feint positive on internet cheapie test & a 1-2 weeks pregnant on a clear blue! I did take a morrisons own which had the feintest of feint lines....made an appointment with the doc for tomorrow...crossed fingers :)

Grumble congratulations! Nice and quick eh?

Just been Reading up about home births cuz ithought maybe I won't be allowed one if I get preg. But think I will be ok. Factors I have are I am overweight, I had to have a forcep delivery with Jacob and I was 10 days past due date with him....

Ohh I can't wait to fall pregnant and have an enjoyable labour as my birth with Jacob affected me and had begun counciling for it. I want home water birth :)

Oh boy my inlaws are coming up from Wales tomorrow and are taking me and my OH out for lunch at cravery. This will be changelling for me as I don't like alot of food and will have to go for the veggie option as I hate meat (apart from ham). I hope they don't think I am strange as I do love roast potatoes and cranberry sauce, hehe :)

Omg congrats! How long u been tryin x

Thanks! Still got to confirmed at the docs (going tomorrow) We've been trying 2 months! Can't believe it!

Super quick! They weren't lying when they said if you lose 10% you'll increase fertility- now to stick to plan as much as possible- need to be healthy!

Wowsiers Grumble, congratulations mummy-to-be :)

Thank you  Still can't take it in!

Wow, congrats Grumbletumble, that was quick.

How long after being "late" do you take a test. I came off the pill in Nov (never had periods when on it), got my first period in Jan, had one in Feb, but have realised I've not had a 3rd (even when half heartedly TTC I've failed to monitor periods so not sure exactly when due, but I should deffo have had one by now)

Think i should be buying a testing kit???

I've been testing for a week :haha: Not sure why i'm so shocked but i am!

Deffo get a test! Good luck! Sometimes when you're not trying it's more likely to work because you are relaxed :)

Let us know the results :)

Think I will, will let you know.

I'm due to have a night out with some friends Saturday, best find out so I know whether I can drink or not.

And if I am - need to figure out a way of subtlely not drinking without causing too much suspiscion - and believe me - if you knew me - you would be VERY suspicious about my not drinking!!!

Deffo find out before then! Oh no just realised no drinking for 9 months  hehe i'm sure i'll cope!

Antibiotics is a great excuse! My friend used it in both her pregnancies- first time no one knew until 3 months, her 2nd we all guessed straight away but she denied it :D

Hi, a quick query.

I found out I was pregnant on Monday, very pleased, been ttc for 7 months. So I am only about 5 weeks.

What I am wondering is if I tell my consultant now will I still be able to carry on going to group until I can get the ok from midwife, which isn't going to be for about 7 weeks, or are you not allowed to go until you have the ok from midwife. In which case I will put off telling consultant.

I personlly would just keep going to group and not say anything yet.

I've never understood why people need to have permission from their mid wife to go to SW when pregnant - this is a healthy eating plan, not some faddy diet - if anything, you should be encouraged to eat a SW type diet especially when pregnant - it means you wont be piling on the weight during your pregnancy.

I cant imagine weigh ins will be affected by your pregnancy for the first few weeks - you will probably carry on losing - baby is probs the size of a kidney bean or something at the mo!

I've not been lucky this month. It was the first one of trying & have come on this morning :( how long did it take everyone else?

grumble congrats!!! clearblue are like so acurate so congrats and enjoy telling your gp your officially preggo!!!
Thank you!! :hug99:

For some reason i'm freaking, thinking all the tests are lying...seeing as the pink dye tests were only feint...Then someone in babyandbump.com said at the docs, it won't show up early urine pg test only bloods will show...i'm worried i won't find out officially for ages! Eeeeeek!

I didnt think they bothered with blood tests anymore - i thought that the off the shelf kits were so reliable the docs used those anyway.

you are right, doctors dont do blood tests, infact they dont even do dip stick tests now, they just take your word for it and refer you to the midwife who then books you in and you get your scan at approx 12 weeks.

If you are seeing a fertility specialist, due to infertility problems, sometimes they will do blood tests, especially if you have a history of miscarriage.
