Of course not welcome :) I'm 23 weeks with my 2nd xx

Hi haven't posted in ages because I have been so knackered, so hungry and still sick (am nearly 16 weeks). Still eat breakfast and lunch twice and fruit gives me heartburn and then morning sickness. How am I supposed to follow it when I get home from work and pass out without being able to cook anything?! Feels like all I can try to do is not eat junk for damage limitation purposes. Have gained 4kg (whatever that is in pounds). Bit gutted.

On the plus side, am having a baby!!!

I'm crippled with my spd today, can hardly walk I just cannot lift my right leg to walk properly. Going to have to take my crutches to bed :( x

Looks like were all having a poo day I'm exhausted after 3 hours sleep in work last night and tomorrow I'm doing a 10am 23 hour shift, its killing me. As soon as I'm out of probation march 20th I'm telling them I need a day off between sleep ins I just can't cope :(

Don't worry about it I didn't even try weeks 6 to 12 until the nausea passed. I had really bad nausea but managed not to be sick once, just like my first I was really lucky. It's more important you eat what you can keep down, even if it's 'unhealthy' than not eat before x

Hey oasis iv been having Braxton hicks from about 16 weeks this time, usually during sex or exercise

And leanerandlighter, if it's only junk you can keep down the first few weeks go for it, the majority of us on here were the same, find what you can keep down and stick to it x

They're required to make reasonable adjustments when your pregnant. If a sleep in is too long then just tell them!

Hi everyone
Welcome dolphin girl :) saw ur post on main forum where ppl didn't understand the 18+3pg. Had a bit of a chuckle at the responses to what it could mean.

Oasis - my braxton hicks started about 18 weeks. I don't remember them starting this early with my first. They don't hurt, just my stomach tightening and a pulling feeling. However ay 19 weeks I drove to York and back, 3-4 hours in the car and I had painful ones and I think I did too much that day.

Miss Slinky (hope it was u as I read msgs.then can't see them when replying on phone). My memory is rubbish when pregnant. Lol Did u say u have a 23 hour shift? Or was that a typing mistake? Surely they don't expect a.pregnant lady to work that? I couldn't work that not pregnant. What do u do?
Do u mean 12 hours, I bet if that's the case it is hard too. When pregnant with my first I needed toredt on middle of day.

So hungry today, clearly feeding for 2. Having banana with my morning coffee before our girl gets up.

Cool, I think I had a couple yesterday it was weird but not painful. Then I thought it was maybe too early so I wasn't sure I only had a couple with my first and I'm sure I was at least 30 something weeks x

Oasis I am sure mine didn't start til around 30weeks either with my first, maybe even later. I panicked a bit when I got them so early but googled them and found can start at 16weeks. Guess just our bodies know what to do this time.

Hi all,

How is everybody feeling today? Been having lots of movement but still can't feel it from the outside... Can't remember when that is supposed to start...
Don't think I could do long shifts at the moment, I pass out in front of the telly by 9pm most nights! lol
As for braxton hicks, you can get it from early on, sometimes stretching feels like braxtons too, had these on my last pg's...
Well off to have some breakfast now, not sure what to have... Hope everybody has a fab day xx

No I really did mean 23 and 24 hour shifts.

On Wednesday I started 9am worked until 11pm, got to "sleep" from 11pm until 7am but one of the service users was up for 3 hours in the night which meant I had to be up. Then work 7am till 9am.

Friday I did 3pm till 11.30pm slept until 2am got woke up by dance music and do did the service users so didn't get any more sleep as we were up all night until 9am.

Then start today Sunday at 10am till 11pm get some sleep I hope then up at 7am till 9am.

I don't get any sleep when I go back home either as the council are re wiring all the houses next to us and since we are the only people who own our house on the row they didn't bother to tell us!

Goooooooood afternoon all

At last we have a lovely bright n dry day here :D

Hope everyone is feeling a little better soon, Im luckily back in the feeling great camp :D -after Wednesdays crippling pelvic pain it seems to have subsided to just an occasional ache -and I can live with that...
I was up before 8am this morning -which is very rare for me -in fact I wasn't totally convinced that there were to 8 o'clocks in a day :giggle:, So I got up and we had beans on whole meal toast and orange juice for brekkie and now I have roast potatoes in the remoska, to go with turkey breast steaks, nobbie greens, savoy cabbage, carrots and peas

Charlie bump has decided to change his routine again this last couple of days Im still getting kick n pokes but much more squirming and stretching going on (although at 32+3 I guess he is running out of room in there) -and he has decided that the optimum time for his biggest workout is 2:30 am :p -luckily I find it reassuring -although Im sure if anyone else woke me up at that time there would be hell to pay ;)
On the Braxton hicks front I have been getting them regularly for the last few weeks -I don't find them painful just like my belly is being inflated until my skin is tight... and Im still not sure which way up he is as they say he is breech yet to me he feels like he is lying across me as I get 2 big bumps -1 either side of my belly button, so gawd knows what THEY are if not his head n bum :p
ooh and now hubby gets to watch him jiggle -but he still lies still if hubby puts a hand on my belly :p -so far hubby has managed to feel 1 kick and thats it ...

We have another scan On Friday -so I get to see charliebump again :bighug:, then I see the specialist again -pretty much so he can write "all is well" on my notes ;) -then I see the anaesthatist on the 7th ...... followed by the midwife on the 15th..so lots of appointments to keep an eye on us :D

SO far this morning I have pretty much sat on my bum X-stitching. which is what I intend to do after lunch too ;) -tomorrow Im going to get the rest of bumps clothes sorted as some of the sale stuff from la redoute arrived yesterday -with more to follow . How cute are baby things???? :p

Right that is far to much prattling on -better get off and get lunch finished..have a lovely afternoon all.....

Hi, hope everyone is well.
Thats how my baby is lying she's meant to be breech but sometimes feel a lump which moves either side of my belly button its very noticable in the bath or lying down think its her head so was wondering if baby lying across me but feet are definately down low so not sure, but nor was the midwife she had no idea. Movements are so different to previous pg where baby's head been down. Started to get a few bad pains in my side so maybe she's just in an awkward position. I think with braxton hicks you often feel them earlier after your first pregnancy x
