Question about Super Noodles

I forgot to say in my last post about this!

I just had some mild curry Super Noodles for lunch and on the back it says thetypical values are as prepared in instructions (which I did), but I'm confused as the packet is 100g and it says per 100g served is 175kcal, but that 1/2 pack serving is 262kcal. Whats that all about!!?

I counted it as the 175, but don't want to be wrong on my first day.

Thanks xx

hi it means 100g cooked weight cos it weighs more once its swelled up with water so by the time the whole packet is made up the whole thing might weigh about 300g or so

if you weigh the pasta after its cooked you'l find out the weight the for every 100g. so if it weighs 300g for example after being cooked you times 175 by three and get 525 do you get what i mean? xxx

Fat free super noodles are free on EE ? Although they only do two flavours chilli chicken and thai sweet chilli at the moment

But well worth it for a free easy meal/snack x

Noodles are quite high in calories unfortunately, you're right that that's referring to the cooked weight. Don't be put off, you'll soon get used to understanding food labels and knowing what is best to eat and when :)
