starving!
I have done slimming world once for 2 weeks and lost 5lbs which i was really disapointed with since i stuck with it 100%. I have since tried lipotrim and weekly loss is much greater but im left feeling terrible and unhealthy.
I'd love to loose weight for an event in oct and i know with LT i could loose a few stone by then, wat are the av losses like for sw? thanks for any help xx

You can expect a healthy weekly loss of 1 - 2lbs on a diet where you are eating food. Some lose a little more and some may lose less but on average it usually works out to roughly this. Of course it also depends on how much you have to loose too, sometimes it comes off quicker if you are quite overweight.
I'd say most people would have been very pleased with your 5lb loss over 2 weeks.....I know I would!
Yes, you can lose approx 1 stone per month on a liquid diet, but you have to be so focused and going 'off plan' is not quite so forgiving as a food diet. You also have to gradually re introduce food after a VLCD as just going back to 'normal' eating straight away results in large gains. SW, however is more a way of life.

The choice is yours!!!

I think 5lbs in 2 weeks is a good healthy loss!!!
I have read in numerous places that 2lb a week is a healthy level of weight loss that is more likely to be sustained.
I would say if you're already feeling unhealthy, then surely that can't be a good sign?
I did Atkins a few years ago, lost 2 stone in 6 weeks, but was so ill with it I had to stop, and then put it all back on and more.
With slimming world I feel healthy and full and I am (so far) still losing, so I'm happy all round.
Good luck with whatever route you go down.

5lbs in 2 weeks is excellent. Well done. Like the others have said, about 2 lbs a week is good and healthy - although if you browse through the posts you will see that many people have bigger losses every now and then on SW.

Yes you can lose it quicker with Lipotrim but you have to weigh up eating normally and leading a normal life with slower loses against not eating (some would argue starving yourself) but having bigger loses.

I know it works for many many people but TFR is not the best option in my opinion. I personally think they are dangerous unhealthy and unsustainable. Many people that do lose tend to put it all back on as soon as look at a proper meal.

Looking at what you have to lose, I think if you stuck to SW 100% you could lose most of that by October. Obviosulye ach perosn is unquie and different and I don't know your circumstances but the plan does work if you stick to it.

I have done Lipotrim and lost a far bit in ashort time but like you I was ill and miserable. Nothing about me when I was on that diet was right - not physically or emotionally. I think it took it's toll on my insides and it's not a risk I am willing to take anymore. I got myself to this size with food and think I can get out of it with food. We are human we are designed to eat food. Losing weight is something I want to do in my life - I don't want it to be my life which is what is was when I was on Lipotrim.

Having said that if you think it's best for you then I wish you all the luck in the world with it.

I lost 6lbs in my first 2 weeks and i started SW in March, I am now a target member after loosing 4 stones 9lbs, i got to target at the end of November. You will lose weight with SW and you won't be hungry and miserable as you can eat very well on this plan, i like to lose weight slow and steady and feel full and happy as i know i wouldn't be able to stick to a plan thats restricted. xxx

i was on lipotrim last year, yes the losses are much higher......but........ you actually eat food on SW! :D:D

ive got quite a few stone to lose for oct too, well more than quite a few, i want to lose 5 stone by then. so far i have lost 11lbs so nearly 1stone down 4 to go!
im going for half a stone a month with is a good healthly weight loss:)

good luck with whatever you decide:D

Hi there, i have had what i think are great losses on sw (as per signature) and i have never went hungry, and i am a big eater. I have good sized portions at each meal and i have 15 syns per day. I am following the Extra Easy plan at the moment. I am not exercising at the minute but plan to introduce it within the next few days.

I have 7 stone in total to lose but i would love to lose 3 by the summer so this is what i am aiming for.

good luck with your weightloss journey and 5lbs in 2 weeks is good, that is what i lost. I know you want to see more, however in reality actually the slower you lose it the more chance you have in keeping it off. If you lose it really quick it may just go on really fast again. xx

i think with sw the more u put i the more u get out, and i dont mean bigger weekly losses although that can happen, i lost 8lb in my first week but i was over 21 stone was basically eating take aways everynight or some other bad thing, but now eat home made or fresh food, drink water, and exercise and my weightloss has slowed. im fine with that as i know i would have put on what ive lost and more in that time.. 5lb in 2 weeks is great, u will always get higher losses on meal replacement drinks, but as is ever so common u will put some back on and if u dont alter the root cause of your over eating it will all go back n and more.. id sack lipotrim get yourself back to class (biggest form of slimming motivation) get loads of recipies, learn to love the right kid of food, stimulate your matabolism, and the weight losses will surely follow, u will feel healthier, happier and all that money ur saving will get u a skinny wardrobe!!! thake care and i wish u luck nic x

I would be extremely please if I lost 5 pounds in 2 weeks. But I also want to eat real food in satisfying amounts and SW lets me do this. Sometimes being a turtle is better for your body. Gives you time to adjust to the changes happening to you.

I too can just add, I also would be ver pleased with a loss of 5lbs over 2 weeks. SW teaches you to eat real food, loose weight and keep it off for the rest of your life.

I've been doing this for four weeks and only lost four pounds! Five in two weeks would put me over the moon, of course, but the weight is still coming off and I'm getting to eat!

Just think, 2lbs a week - by the end of March you'd have lost that first stone and never be hungry or feel unwell. I can honestly say that I feel great on SW, have started exercising (incredible!) and never feel deprived.

Everyone has to find the diet that's right for them. If you want a quick weight loss, then it sounds as if this lipotrim is for you (never heard of it, I'm afraid). Is it worth feeling unwell for, though?

Also, look at Kerry Katona - all that weight gone in a flash but her skin is saggy because of it. Little by little will give your skin more chance to catch up.

Good luck with whatever method you go with and keep popping in to let us know your progress.

Ive done the CD diet and lost 4 stone in 4 months....started to have serious side effects and had to stop. As a result I gained the 4 stone and more just from "sensible eating". The others are right, yes with SW you will loose the weight slower than if you are doing a vlcd, however the fact that you can still eat, socialise (without making excuses) far out weighs wanting to drop the weight too quickly in my opinion.
If asked again would I consider doing CD or SW, Im afraid SW wins hands down!
