RoobyC's Food Diary - feedback gratefully recieved

Hi just been reading thru yr diary lots of yummy food !! Just wondered bout the s w roulade is that syn free ? If so how do you make it ? Have been on sw for over 2 years lost 4 and half just before christmas but put stone on by jan and have been messing about since although back to 4 can't keep focused enough to get moving again. Think I need to spice my meals up instead of sticking to same things all time, hence me browsing food diaries.
 
Hiya - The roulade is really 1/2 syn but as I make 1/2the recipe and only eat 1/2 at a time I don't bother to syn it !

it is dead easy and delicious

2 eggs separated
approx 1/3 tub of quark
sprinkle of sweetner
few drops of vanilla essence
1/2 tsp baking powder (1/2 syn)

whisk egg whites til stiff
whisk yolks, sweetner, essence and quark,
fold in whites

pour onto baking parchment on swiss roll tin and bake in medium oven until cooked and golden

Leave to cool then fill with whatever you fancy and roll up

Fave fillings
1/2 quark / 1/2 nat yog, sweetner & vanilla essence all whisked together and spread onto roulade.

then add either
strawberries, blueberries or
Banana or
stewed Rhubarb (1/2 syn for 98g)

or syn free lemon curd
(eggs and lemon and sweetner)

as you can see I rarely measure anything but if you do a search on here you will find the proper recipe

good luck in getting back on track, I've been doing SW for a couple of years too, and am stuck even though as you can see I am still following plan, think my body is saying enough's enough but i keep chipping away loosing and gaining the same few pounds !!!
 
Wow thanks for that it sounds amazing I will def give that a go this week. Like I said just browsing to see what others eat hoping for inspiration and this will most def help with the cake/pudding cravings and hopefully stop me going off the rails eating high syn things. Thanks for taking time to put up recipe x
 
My new discovery is Squidgy chocolate cake, I have just made my 1/3 cake in a week (again only 1/2 batch!) added beetroot this time and a bit moister.
 
Mmmm that sounds lush ! I've been making the syn free scan bran one with carrots and nutmeg and ginger but am getting a little bit fed up with that one lol. I like things with no or very small amounts of syns as find it hard to just have one piece !!!

left over veg - broccoli, cauliflower, pots, carrots, beans, cabbage made into bubble & squeak

HEb - cereal
alpen light

Tuesday 23rd August

Day 6 of Fast forward and will be glad when it is over, it hasn't been quite as bad as I had thought, but i do miss being able to eat what i want, when I want and really miss milk in my coffee and lots of fruit salad and yoghurts

But............. 6lbs off so pretty pleased with that !!
 
Monday 29th August

I'm back on plan from today, after last weeks great loss on fast forward I was mostly back on plan until the weekend, it was my mums 70th birthday and had family staying all weekend, meals out and a birthday party, so am thinking a small gain tomorrow at WI.
