Sassie's Food Diary

I'm hoping that if I write this down, someone will point out if i'm doing something wrong and it'll help to keep me motivated. Any feedback is greatly appreciated!

I'm mostly having green days as i'm veggie but do eat fish occaisionally.

I've been following the SW plan for 4 days so this one might be a bit long :)

Here goes:

Saturday 14/11

B/L - Egg, Mushrooms, Beans, Tomato fried in fry lite, Toast

D - Jamblaya (S/W Recipe)- Free

HEA - Milk
HEB - Bread
Syns - Cadbury buttons - 8
Cadbury light mousse - 3

Total Syns - 11

Sunday 15/11

B - Porridge made with S/S Milk (HEA & HEB) - Had this at lunchtime so didn't have lunch :)

D - Jacket Potato with cheese (HEA) and beans

Syns - 1 glass red wine - 6
Cadburys light mousse - 3

Monday 16/11

B - Shreddies with S/S Milk (HEA & HEB)

L - Left over Jambalaya (SW Recipe)

D - Roasted pepper soup (SW Recipe) with wholemeal roll (HEB)

Snacks - Carrots

Syns - Shreddies - 5
Cadburys light mousse - 3

Today 17/11

B - B - Shreddies with S/S Milk (HEA & HEB)

L - Rice mixed with passata and mushrooms

D - Pasta with passata and sweetcorn

Snacks - Carrots

Other than that all looking good.
Today I have eaten:

B - Shreddies (HEB) with S/S milk (HEA) and a banana

L - Pasta with passata, veg and prawns (HEB)

D - Will be a jacket potato with cheese (HEA) and beans.

Snacks so far have been carrots.

So far no syns but it's still early and i'm at work so we shall see...

Jambalaya (my new fave dinner/lunch!):

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]1 onion
1 green pepper
2 celery sticks
2 garlic cloves
568ml/1 pint Vecon/Stock
2 x 400g cans chopped tomatoes
1 teaspoon hot chilli powder
salt and freshly ground black pepper
255g/9oz long grain rice
300g pack Quorn pieces
198g can sweetcorn
4 tablespoons freshly chopped parsley[/FONT]

1.[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif] Roughly chop the onion, pepper and celery and crush the garlic. Place in a large pan with the stock, bring to the boil, cover and simmer for 5 minutes. [/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]2. Add the tomatoes, chilli powder and seasoning to taste and bring back to the boil. [/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]3. Stir in the rice, Quorn pieces and sweetcorn, cover and cook over a low heat for 15 minutes. When the rice is tender and most of the liquid is absorbed, stir in the parsley and serve.[/FONT]
I'm very pleased because I managed not to have any syns yesterday! Yay me!
Today I have had:

B - Bran Flakes (HEB) with S/S milk (HEA) and a banana

L - Pasta with passata and sweetcorn

It's my first weigh in tonight so won't have dinner til a bit later than normal but am planning SW chips and eggs in fry lite.

Usually this dinner is comfort food for me so it's really nice to be able to eat it and know that it's alright! Yay!
Well, I dodn't do very well at eating all my syns yesterday. I got back from WI (having lost 3lbs!) and didn't feel very hungry. I had some oven chips instead of SW chips as it was already 8.30 and I didn't want to eat too late!

Today's plan:

B - Shreddies (HEB) with S/S milk (HEA) and a banana.

L - Couscous salad (tomato, cucumber,couscous etc) and a vanilla muller lite

D - Some sort of pasta/smoked salmon thing. Not sure what yet though. If anyone has any suggestions feel free to let me know :)
Well, Friday didn't go quite as planned but still not as bad as it could have been. In addition to what I said I was going to have I had a glass of wine, a packet of buttons and another bowl of cereal. Oh well.

I was back to the plan on Saturday. I got up extra early ans made 2 big pots of soup (sweet potato and red onion and lee and potato) to take to the in-laws for lunch (they don't believe in low fat anything). We had the leek and potato one whioch everyone liked and then had the sweet potato one for luch on Sunday. Mmm mmm mmm.


B - Scrambled egg with salmon and 1 slice of toast (HEB x2)

L - Soup with one slice of bread (HEB)

D - Egg, chips and beans - 6 syns

Cadburys light mousse - 3 syns


B - Shreddies with S/S milk (HEA & HEB)

L - Soup with a roll (HEB)

D - Jacket potato with cheese (HEA) and beaans

The plan for today is:

L - Pasta with passata

D - Quorn and bean pie (SW recipe)

So yesterday I stuck to my plan except I can't seem to resist the cral craving at night! So I had a bowl of shreddies with S/S milk (HEA & B)

L - Leftover pie from last night

D - Vegetable omelette with SW chips if I have time or oven chips

Snacks - Carrots and probably a light mousse later.
I've been good today :)

Unfortunately i'm ging to a friends house tonight and I know they're going to offer wine and chocolate so I have to try and resist! I will be good, I will be good...
I was so good yesterday :) I didn't have any chocolate OR wine. I am the champ!

Today is going to be a bit of a mystery. Tonight I am going to London to see my OH's band play. We are going stright from work so he can sound check before anyone else gets there and I get to hand around like a groupie. Unfortuantely it meaans i''m not egoing to be at home for my nice SW friendly dinner. I've checked the venue and they do have food... pizza. Grr.

So todays plan:

B - Shreddies (HEB) with S/S milk (HEA) and a banana

L - Pasta with prawns (HEB)

D - Pizza - A million syns. Still i've been good this week and have been savifng my syns for tonight so I should juyst enjoy it. Hmm.
Okay, so today I have been very good again but don't think i've had enough synd this week and am still thinking of what naughty thing I can have tonight. I feel like the world is my oyster! Why can't I be this focused all the time?

Well I haven't updated rmy diary recently. I don't have a computer at home and have had an upset stomach for the last couple of days. Gotta be good for the weight loss though!

I'm not going to write everything i've eaten over the last 4 days (I have written it out on paper so I can keep track) but i've been good :) Haven't gone over my syns and have had my HE! I'll be back on track writing down my food tomorrow.

So the weekend wasn't the best food wise but it wasn't what I would count as bad. It's nothing compared to what I was eating pre-SW!

L - Nothing as brekkie was so late! I needed a lie in!

D - Smoked mackeral (4 syns) with roast veg and some leftover jambalaya (about 4 syns)

D - SW Veqgetabel chow mein (was nice but I think I put too much broccili in!)

Snacks - Carrots, satsuma and dairy milk - 13 syns

D - Not sure yet... Maybe omelette with SW chips and sweet potato... In fact I really want that now! Also going to try (if I have time) making a flour free chocolate topping... Have made the cake before but felt like it was missing something... like butter icing!

I'm struggling to have syns at the moment. I had a 15g pack of buttons last night, just for the syns, not because I actually wanted them!
