Hello!

Off up to Scotland soon, and looking for a few ideas of what to get up to!

Stopping off in Paisley on the way up, then in John O'Groats area for 3 days, then stopping off in Cumbernauld overnight on the way back down.

Arriving in Paisley at probably 9pm, so will just be eating out then going to sleep, then probably leaving at about 3pm to head up to John O'Groats. But really, I'm after ideas of what to get up to in the John O'Groats/Wick/Thurso area, if anyone has been there, or is from there. Staying with family, but from what mum says, it's all walking, fishing and a bit more walking!

There is a lot of walking... When I went up there I found it best to intersperse it with whisky breaks

I'm sure there's nice walks to the west of Thurso - Melvich/Bettyhill and a nice beach at strathy.

Can't think of anything else off-hand, just what I remember of the area!
