Secret Diary

    Hello to anyone passing by to read my diary. Lovely to meet u. Well heres my story. Im a 40 year old mother to 2 wonderful daughters. Ive always been overweight & Ive lost count of the failed attempts at diets over the years :eek: At my heaviest I was 20st, that was about 5 years ago. Todays weight is 18st 6lbs. I can remember years ago losing weight following SW & I managed to get to 15st 9lbs & I felt AMAZING , how Id love to have that feeling again & I will. I believe every 'diet' is basically the same - eat less move more - simply? Well yes in theory but not in practice. I just love food. I eat when Im happy, I eat when Im sad, I eat when Im upset, I eat, eat ,eat, eat, eat :sigh: This is why Ive decided to give my weight loss a kick up the butt & follow S&S on the 4 packs. I received my starter pack ystdy & was going to start tmrw as Ive got a few quieter days ahead of me incase I get the headaches etc due to ketosis but to be honest I just want to get going so decided to start today. It now 10am & Ive not had any packs yet. I thought if I held off as long as possible then Id managed better but I think I'll have something at about 10.30am. I know I'll need to space the packs but is there a time limit at night that perhaps I shouldnt eat any later than? Ive printed out a list of all the packs that arrived so I can tick or cross so I know which ones I prefer.
    My husband & I have slept in seperate beds for the last god knows how long due to my snoring & as a result our relationship has def suffered. Any family holidays we've gone on I always make an excuse as to why I cant go in the pool or go on the rides at the funfair etc etc
    2013 is going to be my year & urs & urs & urs ..........................................................

    well where you say "i eat when im happy, i eat when im sad, i eat when im upset"...............THIS IS ME!!! lol im sooooo the same as you!!!! eat less move more should be simple shouldnt it?! but for some people its just not as easy as that!!!

    i started s&s on 1st jan and had my first weigh in yesterday and lost 10lbs on my first week! so chuffed, sometimes i have thought of quiting mainly because even though i lost 10lbs that number on the scales isnt as low as i want it to be and just thought its all to big a task...........well the girls on here soon told me off and gave me such a boost!

    anyway im here to follow your journey and give support if you ever need it!! I also have had relationship suffer as a result of weight gain and my lack of confidence!!!

    BUT as you say 2013 is all our year!!!! good luck for your first day!!! xxxx

    Hello hunny well done on ur 1st week that's fantastic. How r u finding it? I've had a banana shake & I'm just having mild curry just now. Already drank 2lt of sparking water so hope I can make the 25 miles round trip for the school run later lol Look fwd to hearing how ur doing x

    thank you - im finding it fine....ketosis is amazing lol bit too amazing because im almost forgetting to eat because i dont feel hungry!!! a very strange feeling for me!! usually at work im counting down the hrs and minutes until lunch........now its 2:20 and ive only just thought about lunch lol!!
    well done on the water!!! thats something i need to up!!! haha it does make you visit the loo more frequently!! good exercise i suppose lol!! good luck with the school run!!! :D just keep your legs crossed lol! xx

    Home from school run. Can't imagine why but I feel 'thinner' this afternoon lol
    It's 4.40pm but I feel a little light headed & wobbly but I suppose that's to be expected at the beginning. Dinner already prepared for hubby & kids so I'll have my shake at same time as they eat. Bought a small bottle of coke zero to have with a bar, that I've cut into little cubes & put in fridge, later on tonight. Hope everyone is having a good day x

    OMG love the caramel shake whizzed up with 350mls of water. Delicious. Worried about the amount of water I've had today. I've had 2 litres of sparkling water & about the same of filtered tap water plus what's gone into my 2 shakes & 1 meal!!! Slim & save says up to 3 litres including what u use to make shakes etc!!! I've felt quite thirsty after the shakes & it certainly hasn't been a chore to drink the water so should I just go with it or is there a reason it states 3 litres? Feel very full tonight with a bit of a sore crampy feeling in my stomach :-(

    Funny taste in my mouth tonite. So proud of myself for completing day 1 of this journey. 24 weeks until our holiday. I WILL be slimmer this summer ;-)

    I have a terrible dry mouth tonite & nothing I drink seems to help. Is this normal?

    Hiya, I get what I call badger mouth in the first week. Your mouth feeling dry and that something has died in there. It's all normal! Also I hear you with the insomnia and the crap feeling, but it does get better. Your body wants the crap again and is having a toddler tantrum.

    Keep at it though, not the easiest diet but the best I've tried so far (once in ketosis) and I've tried a few....

    Welcome hun,

    I restarted on 1st Jan and weighed exactly the same as you 18st 6. I lost 11lbs in my first week so if I can do it you certainly can :) x

    Well done willpower woman that is fantastic. I had a great sleep last nite despite being up 6 times to the loo. Def feel slimmer or less bloated this a.m. Got quite a busy day today so fingers crossed it goes as well as ystdy. Happy Thursday to everyone make it a good one x

    Hi hun, Keeping busy is a great survival mechanism! Its all about distracting yourself, especially in the beginning stages. :) good luck today.

    Just sat down haven't stopped since 7am. I made a crispy cereal shake for breakfast but not sure about it. Lunch was cottage pie with black pepper spooned into iceberg leaves & rolled up. Yummy :)
    A wee bit light headed/dizzy if I turn too quickly but apart from that I feel great :)

    hey seems like your getting on really well. i agree with the dry mouth mine has been terrible today, but have had less tea so that might be it. How are you finding everything so far?

    Dare I tempt fate & say I'm finding it really easy. Head must be in the right place I guess. Not liking the dry mouth tho :-(
    I'll need to order more packs at the weekend so they r here in time for Wednesday. How about u?

    Chicken soup with added black pepper was rather delicious tonight. More water then off out with my kids to their activities. Won't be back til 9.30pm but I have a strawberry shake to look fwd to.

    Well that's me at the end of day 2 & no hunger pangs so far! I've just bought The Beck Diet Solution for 40p + £2.80 p&p on Amazon as I've heard great things about it thought I could read at nite or eat it if I'm hungry lol
