Secret to shaping up

LOL Sue just as well it was WW'ers jam ;oD

I was doing WWers online but didn't renew my membership and decided to join My Fitness Pal online as its free - see how i go with it!

Day off exercise for me today just as well as not wanted to move since my roast dinner at 2pm lol

Hello!

Week 3 cardio for me today. Not been to the gym for almost a week and struggled to fit KW in as well, so I was really pleased to get back into it today. Nothing beats the feeling of a long hot shower after a good workout!

I've never touched the bonus dvds, so am planning on trying the fast abs or fast fat burner tomorrow to give me a little boost.

Hope everyone on here is doing OK?

Morning all. Finished kw with wk6 cardio this morning, had to rush off to work, but will do a stats update tonight if I have the energy!

I still haven't finished week three! Had a migraine that was horrific before my holiday and that wiped out two days.

So I'm thinking maybe I'll go back to week one. And start again!

Oh Shirleen - what a bummer. Do you really want to go back to week 1? Why don't you stick with where you are at now. Psychologically it might help? Hope you had a good holiday all the same.

Ailly - look forward to your results.

Splodge - I think you'll like the bonus DVDs. More of the same just longer reps.

Well that's me just done Core wk6. I like this one. I can actually talk when its done! So just wk6 resistance on Thursday after work and that's me finished another round. Mr Sue will be standing by with his trusty tape measure on Saturday morning so I will post results after that. I assume at some point my losses will lessen. Hopefully not yet though. Still a bit too much jiggle for my liking! :D

Well started week 2 KWX today with the resistance session. Really enjoyed it but no way could I get my hips off the ground for the hip lift. Is it physically possible!!! Have friends staying this week and they and OH have been having a laugh at my expense about the 4kg bell. Why is it that because people can lift it, they think it is a synch.

Took my measurements two days ago and have lost quite a few cms in total - is that how you do it? Feeling quite proud of myself especially in my tight fitting dress and black leggings. Oh I love KBs.

Hi Daisy - I can confirm it is possible to get your hips off the floor but it is very, very difficult. I have only just mastered it after all this time and by the 3rd set I am barely clearing the floor - but they are up none the less! Don't use the bell would be my tip. Just engage your core (as you do for a plank) lift up and hope for the best! :D I was finding I was tipping forward onto my front but this has lessened now that my core is stronger. Give it time - lots of time! :)

Oh and perhaps you might want to "accidentally" catch one of your friends with your bell. That might wipe the smile off their face!

I find the Butt Elevators too easy! Probably everyone does mind! Oh and Halos!

Are we talking about the same move. The Trainer Challenge Side Elevator thingamebobs? They only crop up a couple of times. The one where you balance your bell on your hip as you're on your side and you elevate yourself up whilst balancing on your arm?

Ha nooo lol i meant the butt elevators what Shirleen was on about :p

And yep agree with you that the side elevators are almost impossible :)

How many rounds have you done now sue?

I did another session of fast fat burn tonight. I really like it, the ten minutes is hard but flies in :)

Had to pause less this time and was able to complete more reps using my 7.5 the whole time. it's motivating seeing progress( even if it is small)

Will be doing fast abs on Thursday.

These are evil!!! So awkward!

Find these quite easy too- on the fast fat burn you do them for a whole minute and really do start to feel the burn! Ouchie!

That explains it! Yep butt elevators are easy but as Sliminthecity says, do them for a full minute and they do start to burn a little. I use my 10kg for it and after a while my arms start to wobble a bit! The side ones are really tricky but just starting to master them. How that girl gets her hips as high as she does is beyond me. I must look closer for a wire to see if she is being pulled up from the roof trusses! :D

Slim - I've nearly finished my 6th full round. Two of these rounds were the Advanced set. Occasionally I have a week off and sometimes through in the Fast Abs/Fat Burn sessions just for a change. Did them over Christmas for example so I kept my hand in but wasn't doing a full session.

Monday I did 60 mins kettlercise and tonight the same :) burnt 478 kcals per 60 mins.. Did nearly all of it with my 4kg even with my bad shoulder (modified any over head arm exercises to kettleworx punches ) next class is thursday night - going to try using the 6kg on my left good arm and 4kg on my bad shoulder.. And my 2.5kg for the shoulder raises as if I use the 4kg my shoulder starts clicking (ouchie!!)

I have my op on my shoulder scheduled for 22 Aug - I have a few things wrong but mostly a slap 2 tear from 11 o'clock to 6 o'clock but no rotator cuff issues :) yay!

My specialist said continue with kettlebells :) keep the shoulder strong, better recovery rates with good muscle tone :) looked online and the Turkish 1/2 get up is meant to be good for what ales my shoulder lol and is used in some physio places as part of rehab

Don't be so sure! I cannot get my hips off the ground from a lying position! Maybe I am using the wrong technique - will try without the bell next time. He moves so quickly from standing to floor and back that I barely have time to understand what he is doing. Easier for second and third sets.

Strange how different exercises challenge us differently. I love the baseball catchers. Didn't get quite as low as they do due to bad knee but I really "feel the burn"

Hi Daisy - use your pause button so you can get into position. It is tricky when he's doing ones up and then ones on the floor. Rushing might cause you to do a move incorrectly or bash yourself with the bell. I know, I've done it! :) I always use the pause button just for a few seconds here and there.
