Setanti's Progress - Year 2

*** TMI ALERT ***

Oh wow, thanks for the good wishes everyone! :gen126:

I wasn't getting better with Kaolin & Morphine (my usual upset stomach relief) so I finally went to see the doctor yesterday.

Turns out I have gastro enteritis. I have to supply a stool sample so they can determine what's attacking me and can treat accordingly. In the meantime I've been given some Buscopan that reduces the spasming in my gut and that's starting to help somewhat.

I'm more disappointed than you can imagine as I've been looking forward to this weekend for months. The lads from the bike club are all away on our last rally of the year and I'm missing out on a mega party. :badmood:

I'll be back on track soon, and I hope you're all happy and well! :D

Hi Steve,so sorry you are still suffering I hope it gets sorted soon.
What a shame you are missing out on this weekend.
Look after yourself.
lorna x

You poor thing Steve, gastro is yucky - so hope you're feeling a bit better and back to your normal self really soon :)

OMG Steve - is that still going on! Rotten luck about the weekend, hope the docs sort you out soon.

Dare I ask how this is affecting the weight loss? Not the nicest way to lose weight I know, but it seems it might help with that at least?

Ooooooooo Steve, sounds awful, and missing out on the weekend is a bummer too - hope you feel better soon xxx

What a shame Steve... hope yr starting to feel better. x

Hi Steve, how are you mate?

Hi guys! :wavey:

Just letting you know I ain't dead! :)

After I recovered from gastroenteritis a few weeks ago I fell off the wagon in rather a spectacular fashion!

We've just come back from a week away in Scarborough celebrating our 15th anniversary. It was the most relaxing holiday I've ever had, but also the most belly-busting! ;)

Upshot is I'm back on strict Atkins this morning. It'll be a shock to the system but who knows, it could turn out to be a good thing. :)

Hello to all the old regulars, and a big welcome to all the new people I haven't met yet. I'm off to catch up on some gossip now! :)

welcome back had gastroenteritis a few years back to say its not fun is the understatement nice to see your back on track

Hi Steve, nice to see you posting again mate.

Thanks guys. :)

Can't wait to get rid of this bloat in the next few days! :D

Hiya Steve. Nice to see you back!

It's just about 12 months since I first decided enough was enough and I had to lose some weight. In the last year I went from just shy of 21st to about 17st on a good day. I've done a bit of faffing about especially in the last few weeks with one thing and another but I'm ready to get back on track and shift some more weight. :)

I'm going to weigh myself tomorrow and that will become my new baseline, updated on Saturday mornings. I'm going to forget all about my previous losses as that's now done and in the past. This time it will be Atkins all the way as I know I'm healthier and happier doing this, eating low-carb and not being hungry all the time. :D

Once I've lost the bloat again I look forward to restarting exercising, especially running and weight training.

I look forward to continued support from all you lovely people on this board, and hope I can go some way to being helpful to others myself. :)

Here's to another 12 months of healthy progress!

That's been a brilliant year for you Steve. Here's to another one! Toasting you with water of course...:p

Brilliant - well done and keep up the great work.

An interesting journey isn't it Steve. :)
