Here's my shopping list from Asda which I did today. We have a lot of frozen Quorn in at the moment (Pieces/Burgers/Sausages) and we have quite a few things in the cupboards like Beans/Egg Noodles/Tinned Tomatoes. The milk is mainly for our 2 year old.

*Paprika Chicken- 6 portions
*Big vat of bolognise mince- one 800g pack makes 8 portions for us!
*Chicken ramen- 2 portions
*Roast pork dinner-4 portions
*Home made coleslaw
*Cheese, onion and leek potato pie- 4 portions
*Vegetable soup

And obviously anything else I can chuck together!!

This is the start of a very economical year for us so was really pleased at home many meals I will get out of all that!!

32 portions between the two of us is 16 meals! So that's great :)

I keep a wholemeal loaf in the freezer and if I reaaaaaaally need a slice of toast I whack a bit in the toaster straight from the freezer but I try not to. Also (luckily) DH and the kids like mild cheese whereas I like really strong cheddar so their rubber junk doesn't tempt me!

Not really, I used to shop everyday and spend about £30 each time but now that I've planned all the meals for the week and bought only what I need, it's a LOT cheaper. I spent about £70 for this shop which is pretty good I think!

DH is a stickler for freshness and was always dubious about online food shopping but everything came this morning looking absolutely beautiful and fresh so I think I'm a convert now! Also with online shopping, I can see all the special offers and really make the most of it!

I'm also planning on making butternut squash soup for my work lunches next week. I try to make a different soup every week to accompany my Ryvita & Philly addiction :eek:.
