Shell's Food Diary

Time to start up my own food diary thread. I do SW at home (don't go to classes) so I think this is a good way to help me stay focused, & adds the benefit of having to confess my "syns". I'm going to try and add pictures as I go. So ....


Wednesday 26th August - EE

Breakfast - Omellete made with left over chopped gammon and mushrooms (free)

Morning snack - Bran flakes (HEb) Milk (HEa) chopped banana.

Lunch - Uncle bens rice pouch (2.5 syns), Apple, Strawberry "mousse" made with Hartleys low sugar strawberry jelly, low fat natural yoghurt, and fresh strawberries (Free).

Dinner - YUM YUM YUM! Sweet chilli chicken (Thanks to BritMum for the recipe!!) (2 syns) , SW chips, Salad of lettuce, tomatoes, red onion, sweetcorn, cucumber and pineapple (Free) scrum-mmmmy!

Drinks - 1.5 L water

Thursday 27th August - EE

Breakfast - 2 slices grilled bacon, "fried egg" (Free)

Morning snack - Bran Flakes (HEb) Milk (HEa) chopped banana.

Lunch - Tuna, Pasta, Sweetcorn, Cucumber & 1 tbsp Hellmans EL mayo (2syns)

Dinner - Homemade spag bol (Free)

Other snacks - Pineapple (Free)

Drinks - 1L water

Total Syns = 2
And just so you don't think I'm a greedy guts ... I get up at 5 and eat "Breakfast" , then by 9 am at work I'm a bit hungry so have my cereal :p

Well - that didn't go too well did it? I lost my internet connection for a while after starting this up so couldn't post. I also will confess to going completely off plan last week :sigh: But! Onwards and upwards... I have the day off work today and to refill my motivation I'm going to have a cooking day :) Will post again later to let you know how it went!

Monday 14th September - EE

Breakfast - Alpen Light (1/2 HEB), WW fruit yoghurt, grapes.

Lunch - Salmon Fillets with roasted veg.

Dinner - Lamb stew - made with lamb rump steaks, potatoes, leek, onion, carrot, veg stock, and 1 tbsp cornflour - (3.5 syns).

Snacks - Apple, Alpen Light (Other 1/2 HEB), 2 babybell lights (HEA)

Tuesday 15th September - EE

Breakfast - 2 weetabix (HEB), milk (HEA), 1/4 honeydew melon.

Morning snack - 1/4 honeydew melon chopped with raspberries

Lunch - Cottage pie - mash, lean beef mince, carrots, swede.

Dinner - SW chips, egg, bacon and baked beans

Afternoon Snack - Banana, WW fruit yoghurt

Syns - WW bag of Salt and vinegar "hula hoops" = 5??
Saturday 17th October - EE

2 rashers of bacon (fat removed), 2 frylight eggs, mushrooms.

Batchelors chicken savoury rice and a garlic & mushroom quorn fillet (syn value anyone?)

Half a portion of egg fried rice from takeaway, chicken curry - oops!

WW yoghurt

Fruit and veg portions = 2 :(
Syns = too many =(

All in all not a great day...
Sunday 18th October - EE

Marmite on 2 slices w/m toast (hexb)

Chopped pineapple, melon and grapes

Roast gammon, leeks, mash, sw roast potatoes, carrots, sprouts, gravy (3 syns)

Alpen light (?? syns)

Fruit & Veg portions = 7
Syns = 7 ish?
Monday 19th October- Red

3 rashers bacon (vis. fat removed)
Tinned tomatoes
1 Linda McCartney Vegetarian sausage (2 syn)
2 frylight eggs

Sliced cold gammon
42g cheese
Pickled onions
3 crackerbread
WW yoghurt
Alpen Light

Warm chicken and bacon salad - Diced chicken breast, chopped bacon, cherry tomatoes pan fried (in F.light) in balsamic vinegar, poured over washed spinach.

Cadburys fudge finger (5.5 syns)

  • Fruit and veg portions = 7
  • Syns = 7.5
  • Hex A1 = Cheese
  • Hex A2 = skimmed milk in tea
  • Hex B1 = 3 crackerbread & alpen light
  • HexB2 = Might do some pasta with dinner
