Sian's 2015 restart - time to shift the weight once and for all!

Evening ladies! Thank you for continuing to pop into my diary, despite my absences. I've been lurking for a couple of weeks really, but not posting, mainly because I've been really bad with my diet. As such, I've decided to give WW a whirl (yes, I've been tempted to the dark side! :D ) starting from Friday.

I'm going to keep posting here though as I still want to keep up to date with all the goings on in the lives of my SW buddies (despite half of them also defecting to WW, haha!)

I'm feeling really positive about the new WW plan. I think I'll probably try to stick to as many Filling and Healthy days as possible...mainly due to the lack of counting! I'll probably do Pro points days at the weekend though to allow greater flexibility with going out on a Saturday night. I like the fact you can have your daily points and also have the 49 weekly points as a cushion if needed.

Apart from dieting though I actually feel a bit happier at the moment. While I know it's still early days, and I still have the odd meltdown occasionally triggered by something like a father's day display, in the whole I'm feeling a lot more upbeat. I guess that time really is a good healer. I can't promise to always be happy and cheery, but I'll try my best :)

Thank you all for your enduring support over the past few months :) xxx

Been having a thoughtful afternoon while cutting the grass!!

I realise I can't ever go back to the way of life I once had.......thinking more long term....I want this to be the last time I have to lose a huge amount of weight.
  • I know it's a rest of my life thing now....
  • I want to eat healthily.....
  • I want to live beyond 50 and not die of a heart attack
  • I don't want knee replacements(they were hurting!)
  • I want to meet my granchildren (bit of forward thinking there...no chance of grandchildren for quite some years...lol)
  • I don't want to cover up again in the hot summer months...I like being able to strip off!!!
  • I like shopping in any shop I like not just Evans!!!
I'm hoping this will really teach me a lesson on life.

You can't abuse yourself for years in the hope of getting away with it.

Amanda
xx

Thanks hun! I know that any weight loss plan will only work with commitment, but sometimes a change is as good as a rest hey :) xx

What on earth is that random post I quoted?! I'm sure that's not from my diary! There must be a gremlin in the works somewhere

Pmsl :D
I keep getting random quotes when I quote sometimes.... It did it to me before with Michelle's post on my diary! And some people on here I just get gobbledygook when I try and quote :D

Good to see you back Sian - and as Kathryn says its whatever works for you, your minis friends are still here for you no matter which plan your following x

Haha! Let's hope it tastes like it's worth a fortune!

I know, I'm always ill for the holidays...I think I just keep going through term time but as soon as I have a bit of a rest I get ill! Xx

Here's the marrow ready to go in the oven...

And here's the tomato, pepper and chorizo sauce...

I'm not quite sure why the sauce looks like it has gold in it, lol!

Mmmm looks yummy x

It was very tasty actually. We only had half so we'll have the other half either tomorrow or Friday. If we have it Friday I'll have to work out how to point it  xx

You're in the same boat as me! I've just ordered some books and a points calculator although 7-10 days delivery. Rubbish.

Still feeling rough? Xz

Oh nice !!! Is it syns then just for the sauce ??

Hiya hun. Yep, the only syns in the meal were the chorizo...it probably works out as about 4 syns per portion, and that was a big portion :) xx
