Silvermanes food diary - Extra easy plan

Am doing well, have lost 1 stone 12 so far and got my self down to 14st 3 1/2 Ib's which is lowest I have been in like FOREVER.

So very happy bunny.

Only 2 more pounds to get my 2 stone award and I also got my club 10 since I went back to SW at 14st 6ib's. So that was really nice :)

I have been using my Facebook page a lot, so feel free to add me using my link if you want.

LOVING riding my little man Spirit, he is such a dude. Discovered recent i had a rotated pelvis so I have been having private physio treatment to sort that out. Riding helps open up my pelvis so its helping me a lot, its helping my mental well being, so although I still have M.E and Fibro I feel better able to mentally deal with it.

So happy at the moment.

*creeps into my diary looking all sheepish*

Hi guys, so I am back!

I have gained all my weight back, and back up to 17 stone 9. Sigh

A lot has happened in the last 2 years. Sorry its such a long story, but if your interested you can watch my video diary which covers everything! I have a weight loss playlist as well, save you doing all the reading! lol

As it shows in my diary, I had been dealing with a lot of excessive bleeding, with my periods, and they originally thought that I had PCOS. Then they realised it wasnt that, but I had enormous Fibroids and a large cyst on my right ovary. They tried to fix the problem with loads of drugs and hormones, but all that did was make me more beardy and also I gained masses of weight. I had got down to 13st 9 and then ended up back at 16st 3 and no matter what I did I couldn't seem to lose it. Was so worried I had my thyroid levels checked because I have hypothyroidism, so thought something was wrong. Turns out I am insulin resistant, so my metabolism does not metabolise carbs very well. So I have to reduce carbs enormously to lose weight effectively.

Anyhow I decided not to worry about things until after my hysto. I thought it would soon come off. Needed to focus on getting well. So on April 2015 I went in for an LAVH, (laparoscopic)it had to be converted to a AH (hip to hip incision) as they realised was much more of a mess in there than they originally thought.

I am over 18 months post op hysterectomy.

I had incontinence issues from about 9 days post hysterectomy, but follow up with consultant nurse, basically poo pooed my GP's concern, after my GP found urine in the top of my doodah.

Basically was told that I was too dry for a fistula and that some people just get problems after surgery, and it will probably sort itself out after bruising etc went down.

My GP did her best, referred me to a women's health physio who worked hard with me....must have a pelvic floor like Arnie she said. I even used the electo probes. Anyhow she wasn't happy that by Xmas 2015 I had no improvement whatsoever.

I basically leak all the time, I control my fluid intake when I am out and about, to reduce the fluid being leaked. I can get to the toilet but leak while I am going there. Can leak when I cough, sneeze , move, etc etc.

Anyhow my physio insisted I be re-reffered, I kicked up a massive fuss, after they were going to make me wait months to see a gynae again.

The NHS have sent me to a private clinic. I saw the urogynae , and after a thorough doodah examination, in which he poured urine off the speculum, to show me, which he said was at the top of my doodah, he was 90% certain its was a fistula.

He was shocked that I hadnt ever seen an actual consultant, as I had a difficult hysto operation, and feels that seeing a gynae nurse was neglectful. He couldnt believe I was still like this nearly a year down the line (my hysterectomy was 20th April, saw him March 2015).

After having more tests, which included a CT scan with contrast, and other things being done in the scan, and also a flexible endoscopy in the bladder. Trying to track down the leak.I was diagnosed with a 2-3cm vesicodoodah fistula. They also discovered a 6.6cm x 6cm complex tumour on my remaining ovary, they dont know if its cancer, my markers are negative, but until its been to pathology, they wont know for sure.

In all likelihood I will have to have another abdominal surgery, it can be doing through my Doodah, but its complex, so not sure they can. I will have to be catheterised for weeks. Definitely peeing through my doodah, as they were able to actually witness this happening. As its that bad!

Also my bowels and bladder are stuck or sticking to what looks like adhesions or some such thing.

So am still waiting for surgery I ended up being referred to a specialist in the southwest, miles from home, as they think its so complex, a repair, and apparently they feel the surgeons there are better. This caused a huge delay as had to be seen by the surgeons and had more tests, by the new surgeons.

I have now have met both surgeons, so waiting for them to have a meeting about my surgery. 18 months after my hysterectomy. I will be having a repair done with Uro and an ovary and tumour removal with the gynae in one surgery.

Anyhow i spent the last 18 months so depressed as was peeing myself constantly I ate myself ack up to 17st 9 1/4. So back to square one.

I decided to try and start losing weight to be healthier for surgery, I realise I will have a surgery at some point and will have to recover from it, but I want to vome out of this feeling healthier. I have asked my GP for counselling to help with my compulsive eating.

So back at square one, having gained all my weight back. Annoyed, but cant dwell on it, just need to try and sort it out.

So here I am!

Weigh in today, lost another 3ibs that's 6 1/4 in two weeks, very happy with that
