Smash flakes

Ive just rejoined and have been browsing the recipes on here getting loads of good ideas. I fancy trying the chicken coated in smash flakes and wondered if these are just the normal smash packets or the ones marked large pieces?
Also are they actually flakes as I have some instant potato that is free but it is a powder.
