starting again warts n all

As many of you know I had a disasterous restart in the new year and sacked Exante for a few weeks. However my head is now back in gear (I think) and I will be starting again tomorrow with GUSTO, so I have last supper syndrome today.

I am pleased to report that both of my puppies have fully recovered from their gastro-enteritis and I have caught up on some much needed sleep and the washing machine is giving a sigh of relief too.

Some good friends of ours have booked flights on 1st march to come out and stay with us for 4 days and so I am going to use this as my motivator to keep me on track as I would love to have dropped 2 stones by then. 5.5 weeks, can I achieve that? I think if I knuckle down and drink gallons of water I should just be about able to do it.

I am going to go and sort my weeks packs out in preparation for tomorrow and then think about organising our dinner for today, plus pud, naughty I know but it's how my brain works and prepares me for the abstinence.

Wish me luck please.:)

Good luck on your restart, looking at your stats you are already well on the way.
Julia

Right, here we go, D Day has arrived. I stepped on the scales very gingerly this morning and have gained another 2 lbs. But I have not changed my stats as I am sure that by tomorrow they will have gone (fingers, toes & legs crossed for that).
I have had half a choc orange bar, large cup of coffee and got a pint of sparkling water at my side, however we are going to walk the dogs round the lake so I think I had better wait till we come back from the walk unless I fancy going into the woods to wee, which I don't!
So off now for a quick shower and get ready for our walk. I will be back later as this is my lifeline and usually the more drivvle I write on here the better I am at sticking to the diet. If I am AWOL from here I am AWOL from the diet. SO back soo. x

Good morning, enjoy your walk. No peeing in the woods lol.
You can do it xx

We went for our walk with Biscuit & Lucy. Now Biscuit is like taking a Rolls Royce out, he is a delight on the lead. Lucy is usually not too bad but today she was the devil itself. I ended up coming home from the walk frazzled, but still positive. I think I need to get out with Lucy a bit more on her own then I can work on her lead skills.

When we got home hubby started some small DIY jobs so I decided that it was about time that I sorted some photographs out to put in one of those frames with multiple spaces. We have only had it for 6 years and it was still in its wrapping :(
I sorted out some pics of the kids when they were little, a couple of nice ones of me and hubby and then found some old negatives and picked some that I want reprinting of our parents. Anyway it whiled away some time and kept my hands busy and away from my mouth.
I made myself the tomato soup for lunch which I really enjoyed believe it or not. I have not been brilliant with my water, so will start glugging it down this afternoon. I think I will also get out for another walk with Lucy later.

I definately feel like mrs Mega-Motivated. Have just been out for another hours walk with Lucy. We walked up into town and out the other side then walked thru the woods home; she loved it. So I think I have done my exercise for today and I feel great. Now that I have no further plans to go out again I can get slurping some water. I know I need to do at least 2 litres of water a day plus my brews if I want some really good losses.
LOL while I look around me, both dogs are fast asleep in front of the woodburner, DH is busy ship building (thats another story) and I am sat here typing away with aching buttocks. Ooops, not typing with my buttocks, am actually using my fingers, but buttocks aching with all walking I have done.
It's 4.30pm here and all is well, just got the next 6.5 hours to get thru and if I do that then I'm on to a winner, YAY

I have had a veg soup for my tea along with 1 litre of sparkling water and have now started my frequent trips to the toilet (blasted water). I made a lovely proper coffee (black of course) and had the remainder of my bar from breakfast. So that's me done for the day, nothing else to eat. Once the puppies go to bed at 8pm I will have to keep my hands busy, so I may get my cross stitch out. I am doing quite a large one at the moment of a tabby cat lay on it's back in fallen autumn leaves and it is so complicated, but also very therapeutic and of course whilst I am busy with needle and thread my mind and hands are busy and cannot therefore be cramming food in my mouth. Something tells me over the next few weeks my cross stitch, knitting and other sewing projects should get a fair bit done.
Also there is some good viewing on telly later; Above suspicion and Mrs Brown's boys. so only 3.5 hours to go for me to chalk up a 100% day. I am so pleased with myself today.
Sorry for my ramblings but it does help me to be writing everything down and helps me to stay focused.

Well done on such a brilliant start! And major lol @ typing with your buttocks :D x

Mrs Brown's Boys was soooo funny last night I was crying as I laughed so much. I don't know if all the laughing made me hungry, but when I went to bed my tummy was growling like a caged lion. I could willingly have eaten my own arm. Anyway I ignored it (hope my lion didn't disturb hubby like my snoring does), read for a bit then eventually sleep took over.
I was wakened this morning by one of my beautiful cats giving me a back massage (she was walking up and down my back) and eventually sat on my head. So it was definately time to get up at 7.15am. I fed the cats and let the pups out to toilet, but the pups and chickens don't get fed till it's light (which it won't be till around 8.15 here) so I am enjoying a half hours peace while I slurp some water and have a coffee. I decided not to have my bar yet as I will probably be hungry if I have it too early.

I will have to walk the dogs this afternoon as I am off to a friends house this morning. She is going to show me how to make a table runner for my dining table. This lady is seriously talented and makes some beautiful patchwork items. I bought the fabric off ebay but once I got it wasn't sure how to go about making the runner; so I'm off for a master class.

I hope all the other new starters yesterday had a good day. OOO I nearly forgot! I am an obsessive weigher and usually weigh every day, however as I got up early, bedroom still in darkness and I didn't want to disturb my hubby, I did not weigh myself which is a RESULT for me. I wonder how many days it will be before I have to jump on scales. I will only weigh myself 1st thing in the morning, after having a wee and whilst still in my pj's and before I have anything to eat or drink. As soon as I have a drink etc I refuse to weigh as it could affect the scales. So no weighing today.

I love Mrs Brown's Boys, so many outtakes they make it even funnier. We have the first series on dvd, only £6.99 on Amazon :D

Have a great day, you have inspired me to get creative, again! lol About time I knitted something. Have a great day xx

we have just bought the dvd as we never saw the first series and we are waiting for a day when we really need cheering up to watch it.

I spent a good 3 hours with my friend having a patchwork masterclass. I am going to make a new table runner for the dining room table and can't wait to get started.

I came home from her house and made myself coffee and mixed one of the chocolate shakes and made a muffin from it (as I really don't like milkshakes). It is absolutely chucking it down with rain and the dogs have been out with my hubby this morning so looks like my buttocks may get a rest today after yesterdays walking.

OMG I am soooo cold. I will definately have my hot water bottle out tonight to get my feet warm in bed. I don't actually think that the weather has gone colder, but I am cold as a result of the diet, which has got to be a good thing. However I am now sat so close to the woodburner I run the risk of getting those dreaded corned beef legs.

I'm a daily weigher myself, so I totally understand how good it feels to skip a day of weighing :) Unfortunately that's something I need to master so I can intentionally skip weighing instead of only skipping it because I'm so rushed lol x

Day 2 went without a hitch and I slept really well last night until 4.30am then I was in the wide awake club. It's not good waking at that time as it was well before the puppies and cats wake; But I couldn't get back to sleep so eventually got up at 4.50am. Pitch black outside, but the woodburner was still in so cosy and warm inside. It is far to early to be having my bar so filling up with coffee and water despite having a growling tiger in my tum. The good thing about getting up so early and leaving hubby in bed is that I don't weigh myself as the scales are in the bedroom and I make my exit in the dark so as not to disturb him. So 2 days without weighing, I am impressed.
Now I am meant to be going up to the market this morning with Lucy puppy for her socialisation, but I am also due my asda delivery today. They used to deliver in the afternoon but have changed it to morning now. I hope it will be after 11am then I have time to get up to town and back as it is also part of my exercise regime.

Today has been very busy for me which is good. I went to the market taking lil Lucy with me and she was as good as gold and people kept remarking how well behaved she was. I was a proud mummy lol. When I got back we had been informed that the delivery we were expecting this morning had been changed to afternoon. I decided to start spring cleaning the kitchen and after that still had some enthusiasm left so I decided to do some decoupage on a wooden container I keep my hairbrushes and stuff in. I've never tried it before but my crafty friend yesterday showed me some lovely things she had decorated so I decided to give it a whirl. So far its looking good, just needs to dry then I can put the finishing touches to it.
Then off to collect shopping and on to visit our friends at their farm unfortunately they had 2 still born lambs this morning, so were a bit fed up; but we had a cuppa and a good laugh and all was well when we left.
And now its tea time and I am about to have a veg soup. Today has literally flown by.

Busy days are always the best, they give you less time to think about food! Sorry to hear about your friends lambs :( Poor little things. Well done for today x

I have managed to do some more decoupage this evening and am trying now to cover a plain glass vase with shocking pink tissue paper so that it will match the decor on one of the guest rooms. So far its looking good, but had to stop to let it dry now and theres no way I can eat with glue all over my mits lol. We had to have the footy on the tv so I needed to do something.
I started a doggy playgroup back in December and have another new dog coming tomorrow afternoon and another enquiry from a lady with 2 little dogs who wants to start mid february, so my thursday afternoons look to be very busy, but fun as I just love playing with the dogs. Plus its a way of meeting new people.

I also attend bi weekly coffee mornings where there is a mixture of english, french, german and dutch women and we just get together and put the world to right. Then once a month I go to craft mornings where 8 of us get together for a couple of hours and work on our various craft projects and help others or introduce new crafts. It's good fun. We are now considering setting up our own slimming support group where we meet once a week to be weighed, swap recipes and chivvy each other along. There's quite a few over here needed to lose some poundage as all that french bread and cheese plays havoc with your hips lol. I honestly do not know how I ever had time to work as I always have something to do, or somewhere to go. I'm not complaing, I love it really

I think it's great that you're keeping so busy :) Your doggy playgroup sounds like so much fun! It's a way to meet people like you said, and you sound very sociable which is good, and is another thing that keeps you busy x
