Starting CD Today!

    Hi guys

    I am starting the cambridge diet today after seeing my counsellor at lunchtime.

    I am really hoping this is the diet for me. Will be keeping a diary on my blogs so any help and support really would be appreciated

    Hi

    I have seen my counsellor and she was lovely. I have got all my shakes and she advised me not to start until tomorrow :) Yes i am very much looking forward to it. I am completely sick of food, eating it,thinking about it and feeling guilty about it. I dont think there will be anything more satisfying for me at the moment than to see this weight come off! Fattoslim how are you finding your first day?

    I have ordered just milkshakes at the moment and plan to eat some chicken or crabsticks in the evening. Really looking forward to start a new life (a few lbs lighter!!!)

    Hi Maxine,

    Welcome to the CD! Just wanted to wish you luck as you started the diet! It's a great way to get control over your life and your eating habits. If you ever need any help or support, the fellow CD'ers on this forum are sweethearts! Don't feel like you are alone b/c we're all in this together. :) The first week is the hardest, especially the first 3 days, but just remember to drink lots of water and keep yourself occupied so you don't realize the hunger as much. Keep your head up. It's going to pay off! :)

    Day 4 today and I feel AWFUL! Worse than the other days. No energy and my body feels bruised and tired. Want to go to bed so badly and just sleep. Thought it was going to get easier :-(

    It will get easier. But not just yet.

    I was in ketosis by day 4, but at the end of day five I felt like I had the flu. You have to give it 10-14 days til you're out of the woods. But it does get easier, and it is worth it.

    Your both doing really well getting to day 4/5.. it wont be long till your WI and it will be so worth it,

    Usually after day 5 i be bursting with energy.. so hopefully in the next few days you will both be the same.. looking forward to hearing how you both have done this week

    Good luck to you both it does get easier and the more weight you see coming off the better you will feel!

    just remember to keep drinking water - my CD says the more you PEE the SLIMMER you will be LOL!!

    I'm peeing for England at the min! In having all shakes a day as hot choc, it's lovely!

    I'm doing ok, feeling a bit dopey and achy but I'm fine

    Struggling with the thought of being on ss+ for 6 months with only a day off for x mas but trying to go day by day and bit thinking further thAn tonight

    I think I'm In ketosis as I'm nor hungry but my mind is wondering to peanut butter .... Oh an I considered eating dog food yesterday when feeding our beloveds.... Hubby has now banned me from feeding the dogs. Oh and I poured comfort Ito the lid to put in the washing machine and absent mindedly raised it to my lips, good job I realised!!

    Hi Max, looks like we've started at a similar time, so I can't give you any insight into when it gets better or you're less hungry. But I've been looking round other people's diaries and it appears that if you stick to the plan then the weight comes off. I keep trying to think of that to keep me motivated. Even when all around me smells of gorgeous wonderful food!

    Keep going, I'm weighing in tomorrow and I'll look out for your loss on Thursday. It's bound to be in the right direction xx

    Yes I hope so too. Yesterday I got my tracksuit on and i-pod and walked in the rain for a good hour and I came back and felt like a new person. With me I think its hardest at night when Im on the sofa as I would pick pick pick. Now Im going to get out the house whilst littlun is in bed and by the time I get home Im worn out and ready for bed. Its my daughters 3rd birthday tomorrow and Im not even going to have a slice of cake...goign to watch everyone else eat it up and just think of how great Im going to feel not giving in to temptation. Hope everyone has a good day!

    Fingers crossed for today Bluegirl...let us know how you get on xxx

    Hi everyone. Well I weighed in yesterday even though I really didnt want to since I had cheated but...I lost 5.5lbs which REALLY shocked me!!!

    It has given me more motivation than ever to keep going because I thought of what I could of lost. I dont feel hungry anymore I just have to battle with myself mentally not to want to eat rubbish. Feel great actually and ready for the next week.

    Also quick question....when you are in ketosis do you stay like that or will I get a time when I feel hungry again? Dont want to have to battl;e those hungerpains week in and week out really.
