Starting CD tomorrow!!

Hi everyone.


Today has been the hardest day so far. I had to cook pizza and chips for the kids and make h2bs sandwiches. I have just put all the leftovers in the bin, this is soooooo hard. I keep focusing on my hen party which is in 3 weeks,and if a stick to this im treating myself to a spray tan, nails and hair cut and coloured. So i am picturing myself looking gorge, it helps a bit. Hopefully tomorrow will be easier, i really look forward to the bars and i have half a peanut one for brekkie.

How is everyone else today, hope you are all coping well

Thats exactly the attitude to have, keep focused on those treats that you will receive in 3 weeks time. Think of all the photos that will be taken and how gorgeous you will look in them. Cooking for other people is hard, but later on in my CD journey (in the past) I actually found it therapeutic cooking for other people and preparing foods. I was struggling with the smells last night myself because hubby put some HP sauce on his oven chips and it smelled gorgeous, but (perhaps like an ex smoker) the smell of someone elses poison will just have to do for now. Luckily he does all of his own food preparation when I'm SS'ing, so I don't get tempted - I try and buy him things that I dislike like liver (even that smells and looks nice though) so that I wouldn't want to eat it even if he did leave some. All I can recommend is try and distract yourself when they are eating - come on here and write in your diary and perhaps ask them if they can squeeze washing up liquid on any leftovers so that when you clear up, you won't be tempted to touch their soapy leftovers?

Keep focussed! In your first 3 weeks of CD, I'd say it's quite easy to lose a stone, so just keep focussed on your hen night and wedding and get satisfaction from getting to Day 5 with your halo still in tact.

Hi Linda, think I called you Lucy last time, soz!

Are you dieting for any special occasion? I've got quite a bit more to lose than you, so I'm aiming for Xmas this time around. I was at a comfortable weight last Xmas, and felt loads more confident at my parties, but I'd really like to be at goal this Xmas. I'm trying to be more conservative with my goals this time as I tend to aim really high and set myself up for dissapointment.

I have 2 goals really, the first is my holiday on the 4th of August. Last year I was around 11 stone and felt happy with the way I looked even though I still had a stone to go. If I could be 11 stone agin this year I would be really happy.

Then my 2nd goal is to be 10 stone and maintaining it for Christmas. I think losing the weight is pretty difficult but stopping the slide of losing interest and the weight going back on is always going to be my biggest challenge.

I am not sure yet how I am going to try and maintain, I am going to try and not think too far ahead in that respect.

Good luck with your Christmas goal, I think you are right about chosing your target as it can be really difficult when you cannot reach your own high targets because you have set them too high. I do that all the time and after a while you just start to think that you cannot do anything.

day 5 nearly over

Hi everyone.

Hope everyone is well on this miserable rainy day. Today has been another rough day. I went shopping today, food shopping that is, is was harsh. Noah, my middle son, wanted some sweets.............i love sweets. He opened them in the back of the car, the smell was enough for me to put one in my mouth, i spat it straight out though. Does everyone find is this tough everyday. It is driving me crazy......i am obsessed with food.

Sorry to go on. I do hope everyone is coping bettter than me though.

Stick in there WW it does get easier. The first week is always tough but then the cravings for do die down a bit. You will still have occasions where it is difficult but the majority of the time it is better!! I am feeling very hungry today but have managed to keep going although it has been tough.

I am going for a wi tomorrow as my cdc is away on Thursday, although I have only done 5 days I am hoping for a reasonable loss. I will update tomorrow. Good luck and stick with it!!!!!:D

I will do, I think it really helps sharing each others journeys. Have you got a diary?

I think that your goals are sensible as well and so long as we keep focussed we should be OK. My prob is the same as yours..keeping at it once you feel happier with the way that you are looking. I tend to start socialising loads more and then letting it slide little by little. Then it soon starts adding up.

Yes, I'm not trying to look too far ahead either cos thats another thng that I do as well. And to be honest, on this diet, my point of view changes week by week and so it's best not to get ahead of myself. I think that there is some merit in following the CD maintenance stage because you would gain so fast if you go straight back on to normal food - I've found that after I've came off it before and then not changed my old eating habits - I think it's cos your body has got used to the 'starvation' mode and so thinks its being helpful by storing anything that passes our lips...which is unfair!! But hey ho, as long as we know what to expect, we can prevent it happening!

i too have to go to my cdc tomorrow. I hope i lose a fair bit tomorrow as its only 5 days on ss for me too and i have to hear results or i think ill be so disappointed. Anyway fingers crossed for us both.......

I would like to thank you both for your support it really helps.
Hope you are both well today. It is day 6 for me and i woke up feeling not very hungry, i have just had one of ny bars an dto be honest i feel a little sick. i am finding the water a struggle this morning too. I think i will purchase some of the water flavouring today. Maybe i will purchase some of the powder geletine that turns packs into mousse, do any of you have these extras and how are they, i knowthat they are really expensive. ANYWAY got to go have to sort kids out they are wrecking my living room:eek: while i am on the pc. I will keep you posted of anyweight loss later. Thanks for listening love Triciax

I haven't tried the mousse stuff, but I have had the flavours - which are nice - and can be turned into lollipops in the summer months.

I love the bars, but I tend to get really hungry when I have them, so I have stopped buying. Plus, they get me in the mood for eating, with the chewing.

I'd say that feeling sick is prob linked to you finding the water a struggle. Have you tried using icecubes to make it colder and more exciting? To be honest, most of the time I drink sugar free squash, which I know some purists do not agree with, but the way I see it, I'd rather drink 5 litres of squash and be getting enough fluid than struggle to just drink 2 litres, but thats just me.

Have you tried freeing a tetra? I tend to pour it into a glass and then freeze for about 3 hours and then it's got a lovely texture, just like icecream. If I over freeze, I'll just leave it on the side to de-frost for a bit before I have a nibble - or microwave for a few secs.

It might be down to the fact that i have just been weighed by my cdc after 5 days on diet and i am 5lbs slimmer. Hopefully that means i will lose around half a stone in a week. My cdc seems to think that is good as i only have a stone to lose......

hope everyone is doing ok today. I am off to clean the house with a spring in my step

Thats brill hun. I've got about 6 to lose, so 5lbs is ace!! Glad that you are feeling so positive! Sounds like Ketosis has got you if you have more energy. You'll be at goal in no time!!
 
Well done WW thats great!

I have been weighed this afternoon and had lost 6 pounds in total since Saturday, which I was very pleased with!! I really want to get below 12 stone now before next week. I am 12 stone 5lbs today so anything below 12 would be great!!

Please that you are feeling better today.
