starting tomorrow

Hello all,

I have confession, I have been lurking for some weeks now and have decided finally to bite the bullet and join you guys. Thank you for all your inspirational posts etc, it really has helped me make the decision.

I have been overweight my entire adult life. Last fri was my 27th birthday, and gradually I have worked myself up to nearly 14stone. I am 5ft 3.


I hate what I see in the mirror. I am a failure at all diets, I allow myself too many food treats, I make stupid deals with myself.

I tried LL, but found councilling to be patronising and cult like(may have been unlucky with group)

When I read about Exante and something just clicked. I need to be in control of my life again. I know longer wish to be the jolly, i dont care about my weight, fat girl any more.

I am starting with three packs for 1st week to see how I go.

I am nervous that I will fail already, but trying to get past the negative thoughts in my head. Tomorrow is the start of the better me I hope

Anyhow was just popping in to say hi, and thanks, and wish luck to all people in their quest to become thinner and above all happier. I love this site, its such a great support mechanism, a lot of people dont understand how it feels to be overweight, how it affects all we do, its nice to be with people that do.

Talk to us as much as you need, ask whatever questions you need and most of all believe in yourself, being positive about the diet is the way forward and will guarantee great results - I am living proof!

Is it very hard? How filling are the packs?

The first few days will be tough but you need to be really committed and stick with it as it will get easier, I find splitting the packs gets me through the day, half a shake at breakfast and lunch, half a bar mid afternoon and about 8:30ish and the full soup about 6:30 so you are "eating" every 2 or 3 hours, and fill up with lots of water if you feel hungry in between (or black coffee or tea if you are cold).
I am very happy with progress so far and hope to continue during and after Christmas till I reach goal, it is going to be hard but I am determined. If you need any advice, just ask and I will try my best.

Thanks Bren, I really appreciate the tips! Today has been very good, feel motivated and positive! Have stuck 100% not felt too hungry, and have drunk SO much water! Hope it continues!!! xx
