Its barely October, the sun was shining last week but somehow I have a delightful cold!!
Ive been quite bad at sticking with the diet but from today I'm determined to have a perfect week! But I am worried about taking strepsils as they are sugary I believe?
If I dont take them my throat will be in agony and I am on the strongest paracetamol caffiene blend pills I could find. Im weary of ibuprofen too with its sugar coating.
How has everyone else dealt with colds and ketosis?

As mama says, they have a sugar free version, but check the back of the packet for ingredients as you need to steer clear of citric acid too.

I've got a respiratory infection at the moment and I'd recommend gargling salt water for a sore throat.

As far as ibuprofen goes, most supermarket own brand ibuprofen doesn't have a sugar coating so pick some of that up. :)

    Hi Meoww,

My CDC recommended gargling with salt water as the cold remedies available in shops will contain citric acid which knocks you out of ketosis. It is actually disgusting but will make your throat better in the long run. :)
