Good evening everyone, I messed up earlier on and should have introduced Suziemo to everyone instead I misread her post, well her post is below and I am hoping she joins us.

right all - I have just ordered my first weeks supply. I thought I'd do that, see how it goes and then move up to the four week supply.

To give you background. I hate it when I look like this. My weight makes me totally despair, and I'm tired of crying behind closed doors.

I am a chaotic eater. Sometimes I wake up, and have to start the day by hitting the ground running. Breakfast can be my evening meal - and I know I'm not alone in this! So, well, I guess we all know what happens - eat nothing all day, then stuff your face at night. Not to mention the wine. Then you get the mood swings, 'cause your blood sugar is all over the place, so then you get the arm swings to the biscuits cause your mood is all over the place - any of this sound familiar?

Soooooooo......Exante struck me as a solution to two problems, one the weightloss and two, the bonkers eating.

I tried Cambridge so long ago the instructions were in Latin. I don't remember much, but it didn't do it for me (hence the Exante one week supply to start with)But I understand VLCD have changed since then - for one thing, Exante seems more high-protein than the original Cambridge, and carb is a serious no-no for me.

A friend recommended VLCD - she did AllaboutW8 (I think) and didi really well. She suggested it to me, since I have the attention span of a gnat and she felt the quick results would encourage me. In addition, she knows I have am terrible with food choices - this takes it right out of the equation.

Any of this make sense?

It makes total sense :D

Welcome welcome :welcome2:

Thank you for sharing the vulnerable side..the reason you want to start this diet.. I know it must have been hard.

Sometimes though, writing it, putting it into black and white almost makes our commitment to change, our acceptance of where we are now and where we want to be, more real.

It is great to have you joining us little lot.. a fair few of us are here for the long haul too :D certainly me.. So I will really look forward to seeing you on the forums...

It doesn't matter if you have a weeks supply, a months or a day....Making the first step is the hardest and you should be so proud you already have! Buying the space food, and opening up on this here little forum.

Any time you need one of us, during the day or night, there is usually one of us lurking about the forums too.. you aren't alone anymore with your temptations heheh poor poor you!

Never feel you have to join in with the inane chat, lurking is just as useful.

I hope you find this little group as supportive, honest and caring as I have. They have made my journey on this diet so far a joy. I know Mark has described the ins and outs perfectly on the other thread. It can be hard, it can be rotten, but mostly, with the help of those on here, it is enlightening, being in control of our bodies again, we are taking the steps to change it. To create the version of us we want to be and deserve.

You shouldn't have to feel like shutting yourself away and crying anymore. We are all on this together... and we are strong (all the we stuff includes you lovely lady!). Being overweight, obsese, morbidly obsese is a tough personal thing, and dieting opens up our vunerablitlies. Just know you are now one of the exante lovely lumpies :D

and wine mmmmmmmmmmmmmm wine....

I hope you decide to stick around especially during your first week as it can be a little yuck for some.. and lean on us, Whenever you need to.

Oh Daddy Mark! I've just read the original posts and am now creasing up with laughter. You are a silly sausage indeed :8855:
A big warm welcome to you Suziemo. I hope you pop in here regularly as it really does help speaking to all these lovely supportive people.

Thanks for reminding me, and yes I did feel ridiculous and bad and everything else, luckily I did not get mad and say something stupid. I hope she comes to the forum but I fear I may have chased her away.

OHMYGAAWDDDD!!

I had no idea I'd upset Markanderl!! i won't do that again! You were and are sweet and helpful, I just meant I'd forgotten that was the sticky bit, etc. I've never really used a forum like this before.

And so many thanks for all your lovely messages - the door bell has just rung and there was the delivery man with the Exante package. I would say he was like some sort of Announcing Angel, but I don't think angels have BO that bad, nor are they roughly the same size as a 1960's Transit van.

Right I shall pop off and read instructions, which I hope are simple, 'cos I am!

It's quite amusing how mark got all defensive. Any way time to move on, good luck just take it one day at a time and find something to focus on to help your motivation.

I really hope you do well.
