Hi
On wednesday night it will be my SW class christmas party night where we take something in to share.
Any ideas please what would be easy to make?

I'm gonna make some of the biscuits out of the christmas recipe book, made half a batch yesterday as a tester and they taste lovely!! Also in that book are mince pies, I think the recipes for both of them are on slimmingworld.com :)

Also could make some pigs in blankets with some low syn sausages chopped with lean bacon wrapped around them

We have our sw Xmas taster night on tues.
im looking forward to it as its the first one since I've joined.

Just looking up some ideas here myself and id love to make some mini Xmas dinners (basically they are mini Yorkshire puddings with a small piece of turkey, roast potato, stuffing, brussel & carrot & abit of gravy). Last year I stayed in a hotel before Xmas and they made them, I thought they were lovely so going to give them a try.

Here are also some other ideas for you Hun.......

Everything I've listed above are recipes I've made & people have enjoyed them at class when I made them a couple of years back. People loved the low syn trifle, I made this in small plastic cups for everyone and the mince pie tarts were great too.

Ive just been looking on the official SW website & found these too......

Wow thanks thats a great help x

No problem at all Hun, let me know what ur thinking of making.
i love the look of those santas on the sw site but by the time I drive to class I bet they'd look a mess lol.

Im also thinking of making some pitta pizzas shaped like Xmas trees lol xxx

I dont think anyone will take crisps and nuts hun the consultant would have a fit lol - they might take velvet crunch or some low syn ones. A lot of people at mine last week just took fresh fruit, 1 made a spag bol, one did golden veg rice,

I bought some warburtons wholemeal thins which are 5syns each they are already pre cut so 2.5 for half which i cut into triangles so 1.25 syns each then as it was a xmas theme i put lean turkey and cranberry on them (open sarnie) the cranberry sauce is 1syn per level tbsp so a low syn treat. I also took some stuffing balls too

My C said try to bring SW friendly treats but she would prob turn a blind eye if it wasn't! So god knows what people will be bringing!!

She did ask me how many syns were in each one - at that point I hadnt synd them as id done them in a rush as had a funeral to think about the next day. IF people used the thins as their heb they would only have to syn the cranberry so not bad all in all

OMG! please can i have the recipe for the ginger and chocolate cheesecake?

Chocolate and ginger cheesecake. 4 syns per serving

Serves 8.
10 ginger nut biscuits
454g quark
3 eggs
2 level tbsp + extra 1 tsp cocoa powder
6tbsp sweetener
2 pieces stem ginger
142g low fat fromage frais
1/2 tsp ground ginger

Preheat oven gas 3, line a round cake tin
Place biscuits in a plastic bag and crush with a rolling pin spread biscuits evenly over base of tin. Mix quark and egg yolks, 2tbsp cocoa, 5 tbsp sweetener. In another bowl whisk egg whites until stiff gently fold into quark . Pour ontop of biscuit smooth over, bake for 45 mins until set and a knife comes out clean. Allow to cool then chill 2 hrs. Cheesecake will shrink slightly.
Carefully remove and place on a plate . Finely chop 1 piece of stem ginger and mix into fromage frais with sweetener and ground ginger , spoon around top of cheesecake and add more slices of ginger and cocoa powder to dust.
