Just wondering if anybody on here goes swimming as a form of toning up?? I'm off on my hols on Friday and was thinking i could use the pool while i'm there to try and tone up my arms and legs!! But I'm aware that if we do too much excercise on LT that our losses can be smaller because our bodies can go into starvation.. any advice would be much appreciated!!
Ive done some swimming in the last week, I dont really know if its affected my losses as im only on week 3, but swiming is a gentle form of exercise, as you dont weigh much in water so its good for toning without putting too much pressure on your body. Just try to make sure you take it slow and see how you go and if you find its too gentle, just increase it a little bit each day until you find a pace suitable for you.
Im sure aslong as you dont go too 'olympic' you'll be fine
