Taster evening at class

    Hi guys, long time reader, first time poster!

    Not sure if I've posted in the right sub forum as I'm on the app and not used to it!

    Was just wondering what other people have made for their tasting evenings in Group? Going to my first one on Thursday and not really sure what to make?! Have seen a few Wheatabix muffins on ********* but haven't made them before and would like a personal recommendation maybe? Also not sure if these are a tweak or if they're allowed?

    Sorry for the 20 questions! Haha

    I made curry loaf for my taster evening. Others made brownies, cakes etc

    I am not a great cook so the curry loaf was perfect for me to make and take.

    I made ferrero rocher from nutella and bran flakes, everyone really liked them :D I had no scan bran or weetabix but bran flakes work well and give a bit of crunch.

    I used 30g bran flakes, blended into crumbs
    about 2 1/2 tbsp of nutella, slightly melted in the microwave to thin (I did 10 sec intervals and stirred until melted)
    mix together with bran flakes
    spoon into cake cases
    put in fridge to harden

    You can also add 1 tsp of golden syrup if you like

    I made about 21 so that works out as less than a syn each as 2 1/2 tbsp nutella are 10 syns, bran flakes can be used as a HE b :)

    Personally free food goes down best. You could make a pasta salad packed with roast veg? Something you can make and take cold. Or soup in a flask.
