She thinks it's great Gem, I might consider getting one for us except we don't really need it, old Victorian housed seem to soak up the heat. LOL

that's not a bad idea Jim. I know my gran has a small fan on the table by her seat but I can't imagine it's really doing the trick in this heat. yes 90 is a ery good age, she had reduced mobility after having 3 strokes a few years ago but otherwise she is doing great. She has really got the hang of walking again although I think sometimes she tries to do too much. Bless her, she is great for her age

I have ceilling fans and they are great for dispersing air - the good thing too is that they are right out of the way and don't have to be stored when not in use x

Yes they are good. I wonder if thats something that my gran could have fitted too

I think sometimes she tries to do too much. Bless her, she is great for her age

My mum is 83, I don't know if I mentioned it but I bought her a mobility scooter a month ago, she had a few bad falls walking to the shops and stuff. She loves the scooter now.

My gran has a scooter but I think she feels vulnerable going out on it. she used to be so active and was always out walking neighbours dogs and visiting etc

With reduced mobility reaching up for the chords on the ceiling fans might be a hazard and many of the air con units have remote controls. How are they on electricity consumption Jim?

Fat and horrible Jim How are you? Do you have the sunshine there? It was hammering down with rain again his morning but it is supposed to brighten up again later. Planning a picnic this afternoon with Mr Taz

Picnic was great! We were only there for about an hour and a half but it made a really nice change. very hot though. After the picnic we put the stuff back in the car then got ice cream mmmmmmmm

Your picnic sounds lovely! A nice idea to just take some time out with OH and relax somewhere away from concrete and bustling people... gah can you tell that I really don't wanna be at work today! hehe.

Hey taz, just wanted to drop in and say YO YO YO!!! Wassss up!! SO I see you are meant to be back to work? Has that been since you hurt yourself? ( sorry- haven't the time to read back 100 pages..*LOL*) How are things with Mr taz? Have you heard from Gem or elle or abz? are they still up and about?
