Taz's diary - Need to do this!

It took me ages to get into the right headspace. Unfortunately for many people weightloss is tied up with emotional stuff that often gets in the way. I have had to work hard to make peace with my body and mind together. I now have a positive but flexible attitude to what I am doing which makes success more likely but it hasn't always been so x

I am finding it easier now that I have more of a routine with work etc. I think the real test to see if I am truly 'back in the zone' would be to go on the seaside trip with the parental units again and see if it goes the same. Now if I could only find a weekend with some sun!

you may have to book a day return flight to spain for that! lol

Irish rain is very wet but the Irish wind can blow you dry ready to get wet again - sun at a premium this last week but laughter - now that flowed like guinness and was almost as tasty x

We had a lot of wet English rain here the last week too but luckily I witnessed most of it from out of the train window, getting a brief splattering when I had to step out onto the platform!

I forgot to mention - This week my visceral fat level has dropped by 1 point! Woo hoo!

Good for you Taz. You really are doing well. x

your whaty what???
Your visceral fat level is the measurement of the fat you carry around your vital organs. Up to 13 is healthy and I was 10 but on Wednesday it had gone down to 9! So my organs must be very pleased with me! Mr Taz is only a 4 so i got a long way to go before I catch him!

I have really groovy (and expensive!) scales that measure weight, fat, water, BMI, BMR, visceral fat and some other stuff that I can't remember!

I'm a little over the healthy but :wow: Mr Taz must be a really healthy eater. Does he eat loads of fruit, veg and salads and do a lot of physical exercise? x

Nope neither! He lives off toad in the hole, cheese toasties and baked beans! He does have a physical job but he doesn't do any extra exercise. He is one of those naturally skinny types that make you sick!

HA aww my OH is like that too he used to eat so much CR*P and stays slim. although he has grown a bit outwards since we have lived together..... unfortunalty so have i

It will suddenely catch up. I knew a young man once who was into athletic street dancing and ate all kinds of things and stayed really slim and fit. When he hit his 30s he ballooned and was hardly recognisable. Such a shame if that happens to Mr Taz and because of the unhealthy food the fat will go straight to the vital organs. Tell him to take care of himself x

I do try but he has to do it himself. H is a fussier eater than me so it's really hard to get him to eat well

always been curious about these machines, but how do they actually work that out by just standing on them?

Electrodes or something! You have to stand on the metal strips and it sends the signal round your body to read the vitals. It is accurate as the BMI measures exactly the same as my ticker and the fat and water content read the same as a similar set of scales that I have
