The journey to a new me!

Wow Sunflowerlady! That is awesome. Hopefully step 3 will do the trick for you to help you carry on. Since starting CWP you have already lost 20.7kg! That's a massive amount of weight to lose. I know just what you are saying about that great feeling when you fit into a size that you havent been able to wear for years. It's such an awesome feeling and makes the tough days on the diet sooooo worth it!:) You are just 5kg away from reaching the 80's! So close!! You can do it!!

xx

I feel like sunflower - so close - yet so far! I checked my weightloss record and I've been hovvering at 91-94kgs for 6 WEEKS! I know why tho. Its not like I'm surprised! I'm actually having a LIFE and having a meal and wine when I go out - Its just that its so cold and I'm demotivated. So I'm going to continue the shakes for breakfast, but for lunch have a salad or a "lite cupasoup' something and dinner - well - dinner, just try avoid the carbs!

Whats celeric? Celery?

I made yummy cottage pie and the kids had the mash and I had just the mince and veggies (2 bowls)... and was delish. The "red meat has carbs" has stuck PT! LOL!

WELL DONE on the oh so nearly size 16's sunflower! My 16's are all loose now - but not quite ready for 14's! My friend gave me a pair of her size 12 Edgars smart work trousers... and for a laugh I put them on! hahahahaha.. cough splutter..... puke... *someone slap me on the back please* - well one day - maybe/possibly!

HEY PT! I'm going to miss you when you go on holidays! Have you been costume and underwear shopping yet????? It must be nice to have your kitchen back (in A shape) and new appliances!

I heard that chilli speeds up the metabolism. Do you know if this is true (I'm putting chilli into my salads - just coz I like the change in taste and the KICK is good)

No, we dont get SW over here - but someone in the UK sent me her book after she lost 35kgs on it and tries to coach me - but I struggled with the red and green and understanding what goes with what and was is SS and S - and our foods here are so different - like you get "free rice" - and "free" yoghurts etc..... so found trying to find the equivalent here very difficult! I've been thinking that I need a change tho - to kickstart me! Lost the motivation - and pretty "happy" with where I"m at although I know I'd be happier losing another 10kgs!!! Just havn't got the OOOMMPH right now!

Oh sunflower... I did laugh out loud! I remember those cards you got from the clinic! TBH, I dont know what I've weighed in the last 10 years coz I've been too scared to get on the scales!!!!! Honestly, I didnt even own a scale till about 18 months ago! I saw a wedding pic of myself tho and I think I must've been about what I am now at my wedding 10 years ago.

I gave a whole bunch of my size 18's to my mom! Felt great!

LOl Jillybeans, you do make me laugh w.r.t the size 12 works trousers:) I have also heard Chilli speeds up the metabolism (as does cinnamon).

Celeriac is 'Celeriac, also called turnip-rooted celery or knob celery, is a variety of celery cultivated for its edible roots, hypocotyl, and shoots; these are sometimes collectively called celery root' I've pasted a pic below, hope it comes out.

No, havent been shopping yet. Either this Sunday or next Saturday. Cutting it very fine as we are off the Sunday after next, but have so much to do this weekend and next...must, must get my backside in gear!

Slimming world is super easy! Just shout if I can help you. Have done it many times before and have all the books and recipes etc. There is now a mix of green and red days called Extra Easy and it's just that...extra easy!

I have been more hungry than usual the last two days. Not sure why? 1pm could not come quick enough so I could have my choc shake!

xx

Must admit to never having seen THAT before (refers to pic... of course!) So you peel and boil and mash like mash potatoe? Mmmm....

Yes thats cutting things VERY fine PT! I say get out this weekend and do your clothes/bikini (ahem) shop so that next weekend is just for what you DIDNT find!

Easy, extra easy... S and SS ... all very confusing with what you can and cant have with what!!! Trying to find suitable replacements here - although I do like the idea of lots of veggies and salad and even able to eat CARBS (shock horror!!!)... My friend lost 35kgs on it last year - so I know it can be done! I 'm just so enjoying having and eating and drinking a life! I spent 12 weeks literally cooped up in my house - too scared to socialise, too scared to be in a restuarant or out!!

Sunflower..... update us on EVERYTHING from new home, to......*cough* diet! x

Morning ladies! So glad its Friday. Been a long week! Have a busy weekend ahead. Friends over on Sat eve and hopefully some shopping on Sunday. Feeling tired and bloated today, usually feel like ths week after totm where I retain water. Not expecting a great loss this week but really hoping for a 2lb off. Hope you both have a great week end. x

Enjoy your weekend PT! and get shopping sooner rather than later!

I lost 1kg this week (put on 2kg last week) so still hovvering........ yoyoing....

You are a saint PT! Really you are... motivated and driven....

dont have my kids this weekend (yayyyhhoo) so going out tonight and meeting a friend tomorrow to get nails done... and dog sitting for a friend whose gone away... to bits and bobs going on but nothing fantastic! I will be having dinner and drinks tonight...

Have a good weekend sunflower and pink tulip!

Hey ladies! I am back on it! Lost the weight that crept back on and am back into being good zone. Scales said 92.7 yesterday! Yippee! Will have to keep it up to ensure a good loss this week.

Consultant suggested going to step three if I was getting bored of the restrictive nature. Step three allows a little carbs! Yay! That made me happy and oddly I am trying now to carry on with step 2! Hehe

The house is a total work in progress. The garden is a jungle. The driveway when we moved in had weeds and moss all over the place, so I spent a week deweeding it and then pressure washing it clean. We have had people round for quoting for a new front door and porthole window, as well as designers for the master bedroom and ensure- we want to make the ensure bigger and the master more practical (it's L shaped) yesterday we started trying to do the wallpaper stripping which web well, a third of the room finished! It's fun actually! (Not sure I will say that after four room! Had some people round to quote for the garden clear up. So everything is in full swing!

Have a lovely day ladies! Xxx

Morning ladies! Hope you both had lovely weekends! Sunflowerlady, glad you are back in it, before you know it you would have reached the 80's! You are so close!! Sounds like the house is keeping you busy! I always find working in your own house very rewarding :) I had a busy weekend. Had friends over in Sat eve and we got Kentucky for dinner, but I stayed on plan and feeling good about it :) Did not get to go clothes shopping as had terrible tummy cramps and bloating. Just did not feel like it. WI later this morning, but I'm not expecting much as I'm sure I've retained water this week, but we will see. xx

Sunflower, good on you for losing crept on weight! I'm sure all the physical excercise of de-wallpapering etc helps! Have you bought this house? Putting the effort in when its YOURS is so totally different to when its not yours. I went out to lunch with a friend on Saturday and had calamari and rice - and then proceeded to have 3 glasses of red wine! I've found its actually the booze that puts me off track! I had only 1.5l water yesterday.... scale was not nice to me this morning due to the wine???

OMG PT, you are stressing me out in that you havnt done your clothes/costumes shopping yet! Can you do some during the week!?

I have the wedding this weekend and I need my daughter to try on the shoes I bought for her otherwise I too will be running around at the last minute!

SA is sitting with baited breathe today - with Mandela in hospital and now critical. From the sounds of things, I dont think he'll leave hospital and the end is in sight. I'm quite sad.

Had a lovely weekend without my kids. Had a date on Friday (who proceeded to get totally pissed!), met my friend for lunch on Saturday and yesterday I really did just mooch around the house!! Was lovely! Taken a week off next week as its school holidays!

Had WI today and -2lb off for me!! Yay!! I honestly thought I would STS due to water retention!! I am soooo happy! And the 2lb off took me to my 4th stone off in 15 weeks!!! :D I have reached one of the main targets I set for myself...to lose 4 stone before holiday!

I got my bars for holiday and my consultant gave me a little booklet for step 3, which I will follow from next Sunday. I am so excited for my holiday now! LOL Jillybeans, I am stressing myself a bit...lol...but I will go shopping one evening in the week or next Saturday morning. The calamari and rice sounds delish!! I love calamari and I love rice.....lol...I love all food:p

What are you wearing for the wedding Jillybeans? We are also following Nelson Mandela's progress. It's so sad.

Had a choc mint bar today for the first time and really enjoyed it. Will have to get some more when I'm back from holiday. xx

Morning ladies! How are you both this morning?

I (finally!!) managed to go shopping last night and got some lovely cropped trousers, tops, a cardigan and costumes! I got size 16 tops and size 18 bottoms. The 16 tops fit perfectly and the 18's are a bit loose. Althought the 16 bottoms fitted, they fitted just a little bit too snugly for me to consider comfortable holiday clothes. But I am sure that within the next half stone I will comfortably fit in the 16 bottoms :) Just have to go get some new bra's and then I'm sorted! This week is going to drag....lol.

Yesterday I had such a busy day I had 2 bars and my dinner at night. Is it just me or does the bars make a person feel very full? It's the first time I've had 2 bars in one day and by dinner time could not fit in a 3rd product and my meal.

Sunflowerlady, the recipes in the book for step 3 is pretty good. Have you tried any of them yet? x

Hey PT no I haven't tried any of the meals yet. But we went through the book with my consultant and she was saying which ones I could have. They sounded yummy!!!

Well done on the sizes, it feels so good knowing you are that size again!!! Can't wait to go shopping again!

Morning ladies!

I took my measurements last night (I take them after each stone loss) and again I was amazed at the inch losses!! The biggest losses this time round was from my hips, thighs (finally...YAY!!) and bum. Smaller losses on my arms, bust (could do with no more losses from there....lol!!) and tummy. So finally it seems my bottom half is catching up to my top half:p

This morning I had tried the maple and pecan porridge again. Not had it in over 3 weeks but soon remembered why I stopped having it. It's still yuk!! Had a sneaky weigh this morning and I am just 500g away from reaching the 70's! Whoo hoo!! Hopefully I can do that before I'm off on Sunday. Will be such a nice feeling:). Sorted my cambridge products out last night to take on holiday, getting really excited now :)

Hope you both have a lovely day! x

Oh so well done PT! Well done! 70's huh! Geeez that seems so faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar away for me right now!

16's and 18's is good - and yes, you want to be comfy so rather go too big than too small! Glad you managed shopping in - I'd be stressing! I have to go buy my dd another pair of new shoes for the wedding on Saturday as the ones I bought her are too big so she "slides" her feet along the floor to keep them on !

I'm wearing a 'wrap dress'. I bought some nice stockings to go with it - I'm not a dress wearer so this is a big deal for me! I also have spanx - to keep all the flabby bits in one place! LOL!

I had cottage pie tonight, without the cottage... or the pie? ...lol... without the mash. It was lovely... but I'm PMT so need to be careful Verrrrrrr careful as I can feel I'm being led astray by... me!

Yeah, so sad about Mandela - but a reality - the end is immenent now as some believe he's already dead but media hype keeping him alive!

A dress....good for you Jillybeans!! Am sure you are going to look stunning! My mom swears by Spanx. She says they are a girls best friend (that is.....besides diamonds of course:p!) I hope you will have a fabulous time at the wedding! You never know who you might meet there......;)

The weather is warming up nicely here and we are making the most of the sunshine. My little one has gone to school in school shorts today and he looks so cute! My eldest is back from Paris and for the past 3 days I have been doing washing non-stop! I swear he just throws all his clothes in the washing basket, whether they are dirty or not:confused:! Teenagers!!!

Jillybeans, have you thought about moving up to step 3 or 4? Even if you dont buy the CD sachets, the eating plan is very felxible and you can have carbs and red meat on there as well as loads more veg and still be 1000 to 1200cal a day? Do you have the CWP book?

Sunflowerlady, when is your next WI? Check in with us! xx

I guess I'm kinda doing SW? When I have a meal, I make sure its half veggies/salad....(or I try at least!) - I'm kind of living in limbo at the moment.... not sure where to go or what to do.... I have so much still to lose, and have lost the plot or DRIVE!

Yes! Spanx! LOL! Holds everything in place nicely (I hope!) enough for me to be confident in a dress! Its a small wedding so no hope of meeting Mr Right! LOL!

Hey ladies. My WI was yesterday, it was ok, I lots what I had out on so that is good. Not going anywhere fast though. Just staying the same...

Well I would day that's a good loss Sunflowerlady, losing what you have gained. Now onwards and downwards as they say. Jillybeans, SW is a fab weight loss plan. You will still lose weight. The cottage pie without the mash sounds yum! Have a very busy day planned and not packed yet. Will pack tonight. Hope you both have a fab day. Xx

Are you going away this Sunday PT?

Sunflower, SNAP. Just kinda mellowing in the early 90's here too! No motivation. No inclination. No oommpph. Enjoying being social, and eating and drinking - and then also watching it! (Easier said than done!)
