The Red Veggie

I'm not sure tbh but my theory generally is that if I'm not 100% I will expect a gain or at least a STS. If I get a loss then awesome, lucked out! Last time I gained I had a really good week apart from one evening in the pub involving a massive plate of nachos and gained 2lbs, just before I started my diary on here. It could have had something to do with it being * week as well but I don't think the beer and nachos helped lol ;)

Hi Guys!

Well I don't believe - even with the pie - that I have had enough cals to put on 2lb!

I managed to fend off the binge. Although it was touch and go this morning. I ate all my HEB for breakfast out of protest!

Breakfast

Red onion saunas x2, fry lite egg x2, mushrooms, tomatoes and brown sauce 1 syn

Special K chewy bar HEB

Cereal and milk HEB and 1 syn

Lunch

Stir fry quorn pepper steak (still only £1 at Asda!) with a variety of veggies

Eton mess with WW cream 2.5 for meringue and 4 for cream plus strawbs.

Dinner

Cheese, tomato and mushroom omelette HEA x2

asda banoffee yoghurt and banana

SnaX

Oranges, Doritos 2 syns, apple

Total 10 syns and I'm totally and fully stuffed.

I am getting used to having no rice or noodles with my stir fries these days. In fact I quite like being low carb - apart from the inconvenience!

As for the weight gain - one more week on red then make a decision I think.

Oh I forgot I added some raw pineapple and 1 syn of chilli sauce to my stir fry. Just in case you were wondering what they were in the photo..

Hen - good luck with the WI!

Thank you. Looks like you eat a lot less than I do so can't overly explain the gain either. Surely of one pie can do the damage then the entire non-dieting world would be massively obese!!!

Yes, I'm putting it down to 'one of those things' - for this week anyway. Let's see what happens next week....

Well I never claimed to be an expert lol ;) I have losses/gains sometimes and have no idea how/why. I think sometimes it is just one of those things!

The problem is there are so many variables which affect weight loss.

I am sure one of my main issues is that I am not far from goal. It took me two years to lost 5 stone and then I put one back on so who knows what I have done to my metabolism!?

Like I said it is not as easy as cals in and cals out! Which why it could have been the pie.

I had to have some perspective as well. I am a size 12 now and that is not a bad place to be!

Had a good day today with food.

Breakfast

Red onion sausage and red pepper omelette.

Lunch

Pepper quorn steak, cucumber, rocket and pickled red cabbage

Dinner

Roast BNS, red onion and jalapeño peppers with spag Bol and cheese on top. 2 x HEA

Raspberry Pavolova 2.5 syns for the meringue and 4 syns for the WW cream

SnaX

Special K chewy bar 1 x HEB

Apple, nectarine, plums

All of it was soooooo tasty. Especially the BNS and peppers.

Total syns 6.5

It's so warm! At last the rain has gone...

Breakfast

Cottage cheese & chive omelette, special k bar HEB

Lunch

Pepper quorn steaks wit last nights BNS and chilli peppers

Dinner

Tofu marinated in lime, chilli and soy sauce on a bed of sautéed cabbage 1 tbspn sweet chilli sauce 1 syn

Berries & WW cream 7 syns

SnaX

Apple, plums, banana, oranges

Almond milk HEA

And because I was so hungry when I got in I had some quark wrapped in quorn ham

Might have another special k bar before bed..

I thought the second picture was butternut squash with chocolate fingers until I read what you had eaten - though you had gone over with the syns :D

I can't eat quorn so don't know what it looks like - quite suprised how nice it looks. Only ever had quorn burger to find out it did not agree with me.

Lol!

I don't know what I'd do if I couldn't eat quorn. I certainly couldn't sustain red days!

Forgot to mention the petit pain was HEB X 2 and I'm addicted to WW thick West Country cream

Apparently a single serving is 30g /

Lol

I must admit I prefer quorn sausage to the red onion sausage

Breakfast

Red onion sausage omelette

Lunch

Salad with Asda meat free chicken pieces 1 syn

Orange

Dinner

Marmite soya stew with broccoli

Banoffee yoghurt with special k bars 2 x HEB and a banana

SnaX

Almond milk HEA

Breakfast

Cheese, onion and red pepper omelette HEA

Lunch

2 x WW petit pain HEB

Banana and asda toffee yoghurt

Dinner

Rest of marmite soya stew plus balsamic roast BNS, onion, carrot and courgette coverd in cheese HEA

Then I made a souffle from eggs and asda blueberry yoghurt. It looked like this...

Lol - and tis photo wAs taken before it flopped!

Marmite stew is a basic tomatoe based soya chunk stew with a huge dollop go marmite in it.

I'm not a great marmite lover - I like it occasionally but read about this and thought I'd give it a try. It definitely added a certain something!

Well - had a WI today - its a little early as I am having a flexi syn day today. And I am now 67.5kg

Whoop whoop!

So in the last four weeks on red my weight has been

Week 1 69.9kg

Week 2 67.9 kg

Week 3 69.1 kg (for no apparently good reason.)

Week 4 67.5 kg

So a grand total of 2.4 kg which is about 5lb

So I am really, really happy with that. (well, obviously I'd like a little more)

So now 8.5 kg to go. I could manage that before christmas...

My first attempt at OAty pancakes.

Mixed 2 x HEB or porridge oats with Asda blueberry yoghurt, 2 eggs and cinnamon.

Fry lited gently...

Mmmmm
