hi there

tomorrow i meet my counselor and tues i start the CDP. there is two and a half stone lazin about my couch that just doesnt need to be here and willpower allowing its days are numbered.

since the age of 11 or 12 dieting has been apart of my life, have tried and failed many yo-yoing up every time til i hit 18 st about ten years ago, i made a lot of changes then and got down to 11 st. my weight fluctuated between 11 and 12, not the size 10 id fancied but i could do all the things i wanted so was pretty content. a couple of years ago i went down to 10st and that worked very nicely but that was greatly helped by a big dose of poverty. once the cash flow restarted and the new man entered the picture my weight has been creeping up and currently at 12st 8. lately for the first time in years i feel like im losing control of my eating. im back to binging then good then more binging so my hope is i can get back on track. if i don t do something now it ll be 13 st then 14 and so on

im really up for the challenge but having read some of your threads know its going to be a hard road, still sick of stuffing my fat pie hole,
THE ROT STOPS NOW!!!

thats day 2 to finished not as bad as id expected, hunger at a bearable level. did catch my hand reaching for the box of mini max cereal which i don t even like, oh the joy of being subconsciously greedy, still i stopped it in its tracks!

so far i ve realised i like the soups and the ready made cartons with the porridge being ok and the shakes quite disappointing. i ve seen people are adding the odd spice to things, any tips as i ve def am finding they lack flavour

side effect wise the headaches are frequent, despite drinking loads (toilet trips +++) so not thinking its dehydration maybe just my body acclimatising to the diet?

i think its going to work out well feel like i needed a break from food just now our relationship was becoming pretty toxic, the thortons choc cake was the last straw.

think i ll try the toffee and walnut shake tomorrow, really hoping it doesn t taste of wall paper paste but suspect it might, not that im in the habit of eating wall paper paste oh no no no :)

Toffee and walnut is my favourite!

You sound like your in the zone! Stay positive and you will get the results that you deserve!

After day 4 the headaches and hunger should go. But you might get the bad breath! Lol! So have the mouthwash on standby.

Good luck!

You are in exactly the same position as me! I had my meeting with my counsellor on Monday and started on Tuesday. Have approx 3 stone to lose after finding myself yo-young for years. Feel i need a bit of a detox from food as i am finding myself gorging on rubbish and having no will power at all. Not finding it too bad at the moment although I felt very tired yesterday. Loving the shakes (blended with ice) but nearly gagged on the pecan porridge! Here's to day 3 and bring on the ketosis!!!

I started out having porridge for breakfast, soup for lunch, and shake for dinner, but I quickly eliminated the porridge and then the soups. There's just something magical about blending the shakes with ice! Now I have them three times each day.

Haha, how weird, I mixed my first pecan porridge like a soup with 8oz and I had watery porridge too! I'm not as good as you and I binned it and had to buy a replacement from my lady as I didn't have any spares.
I am struggling today, definitely in ketosis as the stick is a lovely pink colour and my mouth feels awful. Not as hungry as I have been but I have realised how my weekends primarily involve going out or ordering in food. I don't know what to do with myself. Mixed it up today and am having my soup for tea instead of my porridge. That's how I roll!

Newbie on here so no idea how to do a diary so shall have a look at the settings on here and get my bearings.

hi laura

dont have any sticks but suspect im on the ketosis turn have felt really tired today, climbing up stairs was a mini trial had a slight eeyore walk going on but have remained strong. oh and seemed to have total road rage today everyone bar me was a $$%&([email protected]@!! idiot so decided i needed to return to the bat cave and chill out, caffeine and a soup later i was slightly more serene. im finding that i have to have a bottle of water to slug at frequently cause of the dry mouth, helps with water total. hoping that once the ketosis is in fully swing my energy will pick up and the headache part seems to have passed all good really. had a sneaky weight check as my scales are the same as the consultant and it going in the right direction so that helped.

you crazzzzy young fool swapping the soup who d of thought it :) when i first saw the watery version of the porridge i thought you cheeky ******* what is this all about, porridge, my tail!!!!!! quite glad it turned out to be user error.

our weekends often involve food so it s very quite this evening, wee sweetie did however make sure he d had dinner before i came home. i ve said not to worry but did really appreciate the effort.

was out for coffee with a couple of friends last night enjoyed that, thought my face would of been tripping as a americano wouldn t be top of my list but it was good although its a change didn t feel like i was missing out. don t want to give up life til this phase is done. although accidental mucked up, there i was innocently getting a glass of water, glugged it down only to discover there was lemon in the jug oh how rude my 100% spoiled but i ve moved on!
have great weekend

well manged a walk round town today and didn t have the walking through marshmallows feeling so really pleased it was a beautiful day, glad to get out and about. think day 3 and 4 are not the most fun you could have but passable so day 5 is here and physically in a better place just a bit bored and thoughts are turning to food. i will remain strong as i had my box of small clothes out today and for the first time in a while i have hope of getting back into them and i want that more than any food

have started to look forward to my porridge and tetras, is that sad?

I've been keeping myself busy busy today. I have some major DIY planned for me and the hubby over the next few weeks mainly as a distraction from food over the weekends. This diet is going to make the house wonderful! Roll on weigh in on Tuesday, I haven't weighed myself on the home scales as I didn't want to be demotivated if I don't see a big loss. Feel much more energised today so fingers crossed I have got through the hardest part now!

hey laura

so its a make over all over the place round yours, fantastic. pretty sure you ll be very pleased with the results when tues comes. im going to keep myself busy today and get lots of jobs that i ve been putting off done, as yesterday once we got back i did find myself thinking about food, on the plus side i did t give in except i in my dreams! i was eating a chicken dinner and i kept saying to myself why are you doing this????? i was at least attempting to avoid the carb parts. woke up still disappointed that id been cheating but then realised i don t in fact live in a rural setting with a big courtyard. so ended up being a bit of a bonus!

so todays motto is the devil makes work for idle hands and i will be keeping myself out of mischief

Ha, you know you're on plan when you even try to reduce carbs in your dreams!!! Good luck toda, think of all those extra calories burned doing all your jobs.

Flavour update: oriental chilli soup: OMG delicious! Like thai curry but without the best bits obviously. I'm stocking up on these for week two.

i am keeping my eyes firmly fixed forward i can feel confidence returning.i was beginning to feel that i was the giant man mountain creature lurking about, gorging on all things bad.

once when chatting to one of my friends i was saying how i found that when you initially put on a bit of weight say half stone you felt disgusted with your self but them you acclimatised to that gain, your acceptable weight was then pushed up a bit more. i remembered that little voice in my head that used to say why did you not stop this sooner? but you always ended up with an extra bit of weight than my original total ( know this is a very common pattern). so i was very glad i started in the disgusted phase as id completely fall off the food wagon secret eating had returned, prob for about 3months.

i am liking the soups to oriental is good also tomato and chicken and mushroom work for me, glad as with the cooler months on the horizon i do like a spot of soup. gonna try a couple of others as well as i want to keep as much variety and not finding the shakes that you make your self to my taste particularly. the oriental might be missing a few key ingredients but on the plus side it s the guilt free version
