ProPoints Third time lucky - my WW journey!

9.00am -Breakfast:
40g Red Berry cereal = 4PP
100ml skimmed milk = 1PP

6km walk at 10.30am - 3AP earned

11.45am snack - cup of tea and WW bar = 2PP

2.30pm - stewed apple, ginger nut biscuit and WW vanilla yoghurt = 2PP

4pm - Dinner:
150g potatoes = 3PP
120g chicken = 4PP
Gravy = 1PP
Turnip = 0PP

4km walk at 5pm - 2AP earned


I made a vegetable one and also a spicy butternut squash one. They're yummy!

Your soups do sound yummy! I love the sound of your 230 Snack, that sounds right up my street! X
 
OMG try it, it was delicious! Just put some apple into a saucepan with some water and a little bit of sweetener and stew until it's soft. Put some in a small bowl, crumble the biscuit over it and then put the yoghurt on top of it. If the apple is warm it's even nicer! And for 2PP as well! :D

Would you like the recipes for the soups? :)

I would love the recipes :) AND ill definitely be trying the apple thingy, ill have to put cinnamon in tho as I'm adding that to everything at the moment!!! X
 
Im addicted to cinnamon aswell I put it in my porridge every morning

Vegetable soup:

Large courgette, finely chopped (I used 2 small ones)
2 white onions, finely chopped
2 large carrots, finely chopped (I used 4 small ones)
2 large leeks, sliced
1 cup butternut squash, diced (I used about half a BNS)
Stick of celery, finely chopped
Parsnip, finely chopped (Remember you have to point this!)
2 vegetable Oxo cubes, crumbled
2 bay leaves
2 cloves of garlic, crushed
1 tsp tomato puree
Fry Light cooking spray

1. Using the spray, sweat all the veg in a large saucepan until soft.
2. Add bay leaves, puree and Oxo cubes.
3. Add just enough water to cover all the veg and bring to the boil.
4. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes.
5. Remove the bay leaves and blend in batches.

This recipe makes about 4 servings. The entire recipe is 3PP - 1PP for the 2 Oxo cubes and 2PP for the parsnip. I'm counting 1PP per bowl.



Spicy Butternut Squash Soup:

Butternut squash, peeled and diced
2 cloves of garlic, minced
2 chillis, deseeded and chopped
1 pint of veg stock
1 tsp ground cumin

1. Fry the chillis and garlic in Fry Light until soft.
2. Add all other ingredients, including the stock, and bring to the boil.
3. Reduce the heat, cover and simmer for 10-15 minutes.
4. Blend and serve.

Makes about 2 servings, 0PP per serving (1PP in recipe). This soup definitely is quite spicy so 1 chilli might be enough.

Yeah I wish they were lower. For a treat I have the Manhattan popcorn or Snax or Chikatees. :)
