NEW START!

I will be posting anything here that catches my eye, helps me along the way etc.

I am hoping this will help me to stay on track after attempting numerous times to stick to this diet!

Keeping track of what I eat is very important and I will make sure I do that here.

I will also track when I exercise which I am hoping will be one form of exercise a day! I am going for my first weigh in on Monday so will update my weight then.

Morning all!

Will have a banana for brekkie and then think of something nice for lunch, possibly stir fry again.

I am going to go and have a search for a nice shepherds pie recipe.

Bye for now! x

Shepherds Pie

500g Quorn mince
1 chopped onion
200ml stock (Vecon vegetable stock)
tin of chopped tomatoes
big squirt of tomato puree
icon_smile.gif

a sprinkling of worcestershire sauce
1tsp mixed herbs
750g potatoes

Add hot stock, and chopped tomatoes to a pan and add your quorn mince. Leave to simmer for about 10 minutes. After 10mins add your chopped onion and simmer for another 10 minutes. Add the worcestershire sauce and your squirt of tomato puree and stir all together. Simmer until it's all nice and tender (about 10 mins.)
Meanwhile be cooking your potaoes in boiling water until very tender, then drain and mash.
Turn the meat mixture into an ovenproof dish, and add on the mashed potato and smooth over.
I sprinkled a bit of grated cheese over the top as well (you'd have to use that as a healthy extra though if you wanted to keep it free.)
Cook in a preheated oven at 200 degrees until the potatoes are golden brown and your cheese is all melty on top

Went to my first class tonight. It was full of friendly people and was fun. I paid for 12 classes so that's me signed up now without a doubt!

I haven't done any exercise unfortunately although I did try to walk around more at work and on my lunch break (as silly as it sounds I'm sure it's better that just sitting there)

I am trying to get my partner to do EE as I know that if he gets into it and knew it off by heart he would love it. It's just the learning that he needs! So I have been reading it to him and hopefully he will get into it! I gave him his own weigh in tonight also.

I am already really excited about next weeks weigh in. I am no longer going to feel this way about myself.

Hi slimmer looks like you are doing really well and getting right into it - best of luck for your next WI

Evening!

The last two days have been really great. The only thing I need to improve is the amount of exercise I am doing. My goal is to go 3 times a week now. I haven't been this week but the plan is to go :

Wednesday night
Thursday night
Saturday day

Anything over this is a bonus! I will try to do a little exercise on the days that I don't go to the gym.

Anyway, other than that everything seems OK. My partner is really getting into the diet too which I'm so happy about it. I think this is a very good diet for men as there isn't much deprivation (not just men I guess!)

I am starting to look for a new job now so will see you guys tomorrow.

Night x

Wednesday 6th January

Didn't get to go to the gym today as I have been snowed in!

So I went for a long walk into town and will do my exercise bike for half hour.

Am full from all the food I have consumed today. My partner said that he is going to see on Monday if he loses weight and if he doesn't he will try something else. I am really hoping he loses some weight! We are following it exactly and going to give it a week. To be honest it seems like I am eating a lot of food to lose but we will see!

Bye for now x
