Step 1 Sole Source + Water Flavourings

Can anyone explain why you shouldn't have any of the water flavourings for the first 2 weeks? Just curious to understand as I have the summer fruits and the golden vegetable flavourings but my consultant told me to wait to use them.
 
Aparantly its the citric acid inside as this can knock you out of ketosis so you have to be firmly in ketosis first! On the bright side summer berry is sooo nice x
 
My CDC has said that I can drink as much of the vegetable water as I like each day - but the book says different?
