Attack Wedding Willpower a go go!

Goodluck Nixy, you have plenty of time. I was in the same boat I did slimming world, lost half a stone and then couldn't budge a single pound more. My other half also thinks I'm silly for doing it this way, but I'll show him!!

Three days of attack and I lost 4lbs...yippie! Couldnt care less if it is just water, it's a
Downward spiral!

It was so nice having veg again though, I'm kinda not looking forward to the pp day tomorrow especially as I'm going to the Wireless festival in London. Luckily you are allowed to take food in with you, so will just have to take eggs, tuna, yogurt and try and stay away from the beer tent and the hog roast!

So today: day one of cruise
B omelette with lots of veg in
L chicken salad with a yogurt and lemon dressing
D going to try to make tuna fish cakes with oat ran
S yogurt, sugar free jelly, two boiled egg whites
 
I had an awesome time at the festival. I had four very naughty pints of magners (750 kcals eek!) but I walked to the station (2 hours) and danced my socks off all day so worked out on my fitness pal that I'd worked off over 1000kcals.

I stuck to the diet food wise, took meatballs and tuna patties and didn't get hungry at all which is a small victory for me. Weighed myself this morn and still had a 1/4 pound loss since yest. Happy with that!

Today can barely move for bad back and sore legs. Off to watch some cookery programmes (fancy a bit of food porn)

So today is day one! Its going ok just no idea what to have for dinner, think it will be beef based... I checked out the Dukan website and it recommends 3 day attack. I have a friends wedding 5 weeks today would love a stone off.

Day 3 of cruise
B- Boiled egg, chicken breast broth
L- 2x tins of tuna, tomatoes, onion, cucumber salady thing, quark
D- Smoked salmon and philly, Salmon, Trout and salad with a balsamic dressing
S- Yogurt and rhubarb with sweetner

Have eaten tons today, I was really hungry and also it was shopping day so had some nice food back in the house. On the other hand I've had fun experimenting. PV day tomorrow, thank god I got some fish, so sick of chicken! Going out for lunch with family tomorrow which will be hard. Will have to try to steer them towards a nando's type place.
 
Oh Ophelia Leanne, your first few days remind me so much of what I went through when I started this a few weeks back! I started off dreading PP days but now I really like them. I am also getting used to eating more fish and protein than usual. Try some of the veggie options (in moderation) too if it helps with the boredom. Tofu is unlimited and you can get bags of TVP mince really cheaply which somehow seems lighter (thought just as filling) than fish. (Or meat probably, but I don't eat meat so wouldn't like to assume!)

Sounds like you're doing grand - keep it up and I look forward to hearing more. Who was playing at Wireless by the way? I went a couple of years ago and thought it was pretty good for a middle of London festival.

for dinner I had prawns with ginger and a splash of lemon juice, steak on a skewer with a balsamic sause from the book. I also had homemade meatballs. When I checked the book it said lean mince which is what I got but I think I should have got extra lean, my mince was 11.5g per 100g

Hi Joodle...you are right, I don't really look forward to PP days, I've never been a massive meat eater, but on the other hand it is teaching me how to cook meat in new and interesting (and more tasty) ways, and its worth it because it works and I'm not hungry at all!

We saw Maverick Sabre, Afrojack, Zedd, Deadmau5 and Knife party. It was all really well organised and apart from one mega downpour it was pretty dry. Very lucky! It was two days ago and my calf muscles are still in agony from all that jumping about like a crazy person.

I brought some quorn pieces and sausages yesturday so I'll try some of those in the next few days. Just slightly worried about using them as the carbs is higher, but if it keeps me on the straight and narrow its got to be worth it.

B- Smoked salmon and scrambled egg
L- Half a roast chicken
D- Chicken stuffed with philly and chillies (this was really yum!)
S- Ff yog and sugar free choc flavouring

Had a really good day buying my wedding gifts for my mum, bridesmaid and gran. Also did tons of walking all over the place. Off out to meet some friends in the pub tonight. Not going to drink...its going to be a challenge but its official weight in day tomorrow and I want to see a good loss for all my efforts this first week.

Sounds like you're going great Ophelia Leanne! And wireless sounds fab, no wonder you've got sore calves!

I totally struggled with the fish thing at the start, in fact, I still do a bit, as I used to only eat fish about once a week if that and I don't eat meat at all. I've been enjoying using TVP which is really low fat and some of the quorn chunks but you're right, they are a bit higher in carbs than lean meat and fish. Still, I figure it's better to make the diet enjoyable and stick with it than force yourself to eat stuff you're not enjoying and give up! Which is what you've already figured out I guess!

Well the scales say 10st 7 1/2 so I've lost 4 1/2 in my first week....very pleased!!!!!!!!!!! If I could jump around without pain in my calves I would! I really want to be about 10st for my wedding, with just under 5 weeks to go it doesn't seem that impossible any more...thank you Dr Dukan!
 
Brilliant result ophelia! Keep doing what you're doing and you will be rocking that wedding dress! Aren't you worried about the alterations though?
 
Thanks! I'm already booked in with the dress fitter, she's doing the alterations the week before the wedding as my dress doesn't come in until then anyway (its a long story but didn't find my perfect dress until the 11th hour). I had to lose an inch around my waist for it to fit in the first place. Just measured myself and I've lost an inch so anything else is a bonus!!!

Feel really bloated and clogged up today tho. Going to the health food store tomorrow to stock up on sugar free sweets and some wheatbran.

Had a stressful morning trying to sort out my energy suppliers mess ups. Panicking about bills, money, debt etc...why can't we be rich lol? I swear I'd be tiny just from the lack of stress. Luckily the rhubarb thing I had for breakfast has kept me full, I still feel stuffed, so didn't go stuff my face when I was banging my head against the wall.

Today was tough. I won a competition a couple of weeks ago for a case of wine...and it turned up today. OMGosh a whole CASE of wine IS SAT IN MY HOUSE. We don't usually keep any alcohol around as I can't stop myself! So far I have resisted temptation and feeling smug.

There is more trouble ahead though as I'm also going to a three day hen do on the weekend. The game plan for that was to only drink on the Saturday, to stick to gin/vodka and diet mixers, but I know in my heart that Friday is also going to be a write off. So PP days until Friday, then PV Friday-Sunday then PP Monday-Wednesday. Going on holiday Tuesday (hehe!). Luckily the holiday is to see my parents who live in Spain, and my mum has just started Dukan this week so we can keep each other on the straight and narrow, and they have lovely long beaches to run/walk down, there is surfing and swimming to be done.
At the same time I am on holiday so I will have the odd day of sitting in the jacuzzi with a glass of wine (its the alcohol darn it, I just can't help it!). The case of wine is calling to me!!!!!!!!! Help!!!!!!! :party0036:

D- going to try savoury muffins with cottage cheese and chillies
S- sugar free jelly and yogurt. NOT going to drink wine.
