weekend eaters?

I think especially in America, the weekend tends to bring certain emotions. It's kindof like a vacation, so therefore we more easily justify behaving "worse" (however you define that.)

We'll allow ourselves to do things just because it's the weekend.

I think it's important to notice the patterns of the weekend and not try to immediately stop them, but notice them at first.

For example, if you always have to go to the movies on weekends, and you always have to eat a whole bucket of popcorn at the movie... you might try something different. To see if the emotion changes.

Like going to a different theater that you aren't used to so your brain won't crave the popcorn as much as at the other theater.
