Weigh in again

Good for you for nipping the weight gain in the bud.......you havent got too far to go to get back where you were.

your happy bride to be bud(really must re name ourselves now!!)
lou XX

Ha ha ha - We don't need to be re-named - its just so nice to see a bride to be buddy that I had to acknowledge it - everyone else seems to have gotten married and disappeared:cry:

My plan was working fine yesterday until I went to my mums and she had cooked a roast chicken dinner for us all - now my mum is 73 and I felt bad that she had spent so long in the kitchen and to be honest the smell was gorgeous:D so day 1 again today. They are all excuses but I did feel low after the funeral yesterday and it could have been so much worse than a roast chicken dinner.

I did turn down the homemade apple crumble:D

Have a good day Lou

Hi Len,

Your right though life isn't worth worrying about all this stuff so the quicker we get it off and sorted out the better. Im back on day 1 of ss'ing and have no plans or anything so I will stick it out with you to!

Good to know that we are in this together - my willpower is as changeable as the weather so I might need a kick every now and again.

Your holiday sounded lovely even if you did nearly die on a mountain!!! Reminds me of when I went up the Cave hill in Belfast with my bf - wind/rain/hail/just horrible weather and I was not impressed I couldnt see 2 feet in front of my face grrrr! I quite like walking in bad weather - especially when we are heading towards a nice cosy pub hahaha

Also Im so impressed at how well you stuck to the diet out there. I seem to have eaten for england the past 4 days! So much for sticking to it when I was in Ireland - so cross with myself! Oh well onwards and upwards and time to starve it all off again I guess! My impressive diet worked fine until we got home - can't explain why but I turned back to carbs??????

N xx

I will pop over to your thread and see how you are getting on. I have noticed that you have joined the 7 day challenge with Mrs Roch - I might join you if they don't mind gate crashers.

Take care

Just a quick update on the funeral yesterday.

It was a lovely service and the little church was packed - we got there 20 mins before it started and we had to stand at the back. This wouldn't have been too bad but because my trousers are too long for my vertically challenged legs I had to wear heels, they chose long hymns and by the end of the service I couldn't feel my feet. (1hr) Also I was desperate for the loo - all this water is not good when you have to do something like that. They played Robbie Williams "Angels" at the end - that nearly did me in I can admit.

The burial was family only around the grave but we all stood around the edge of the churchyard. The family just looked shell-shocked. She was only 47.

She is buried quite near to my dad so I am sure he will look after her:p

Diet now - back to day 1 (see above)
I am on my own tonight so I can go to bed early or lounge in the bath if need be. I have got to tidy our room too so that will keep me busy.

Good luck everyone else and take care

hi again.........as you can see I am not getting much work done today!!

Well the good thing about you being back on day one is that we can be on the same day together.that way we wont loose count of where we are !!

What day are you going to see your CDC, ie what day is WI? I dont know what day I will 'offically' wi next week as cdc goes away to Isle of Wight wed-sun. I have enough to keep me going for a while here so I have the choice of before she goes away or when she gets back, I will be getting on my own scales for inspiration each day so will be able to track my loss that way.

Anyway I really nust get on, just off to have a tom soup!
see you later hon XX

Hi Lou,

Weigh day is Tuesday for me but my CDC is away next week so my next official weigh in is 30th Oct.

Now get back to work Missus:D (I'm a fine one to talk hahaha - although it is my tea-break at the moment so I am allowed)

Feeling really positive today - I did struggle with my cb and a bar of turkish delight but I didn't give in and managed one whole day on SS 100%.

I managed approx 4 - 5litres yesterday but I was woken up with terrible leg cramps in the night so I might lessen that today and see if it still happens.

I have a slight headache but nothing too bad today and feel really motivated and full of energy:confused: I will go home and do my housework and washing.

Tomorrow we are going shopping for some shirts and suits for DH (New job) and then watching the rugby final. My sis & boyf had invited us around to theirs to watch it with a takeaway but when I told her I was SS'ing and I'll bring a soup - she postponed our visit until another time. Bless her.

I've had one shake so far and I'm my second litre of water. I'm going to make my second mint green tea of the day now.

I'm off to catch up on some threads before I go home :D

Bye for now

P.s. hope you are all well??????

I love that were both on day 2 you know Len - makes me feel like I'll stick it out better some how :)

Have a fab weekend and throw that turkish delight in the bin - personally i hate the stuff so I'd rather be sick than eat it. Try and imagine something disgusting when you look at it hmmm like a minging turkish man all over it ewwwww! Surely thats enough to put you off it! lol

Morning all,

I can't believe that I am actually on day 5 of SS.:p

I did have a slight slip up with some raw mushrooms  but it could have been so much worse - John asked me if I wanted chinese, chicken kebab and jam doughnuts and I turned them all down.:D

I got on the scales this morning and it is showing that I am 5lbs down on last week so I am quite happy. It is also TOTM too (One week early:mad:) SS really affects my cycle. So I could be retaining water and maybe I have lost more but I'm still chuffed with 5lbs either way.

So far today I have had 2.5 litres of water and my breakfast shake. I have also had 2 cups of mint green tea. I've got another 1 ltr bottle filled with hot water waiting on my desk.

I feel great but a bit crampy (is that even a word?) I'm cold but that could be the weather - the ketostix says I'm not in Ketosis yet but as long as the weight comes off I'm not too bothered.

Anyway - I'd better catch up on the posts I missed over the weekend (John hogs the computer for ebay:sigh:)

Take care and keep drinking the water.

Hiya hon.............so glad you had a fab weekend............see you thought 1 day of ss-ing was fab......look a us now on day 5!!!!!:bliss::party0019:

LOL liked your comment about making ss-ing sounds easy...I guess in theory it is....dont eat anything but packs drink loads of water wear an extra jumper and go to bed early!!lol If only it were that easy...I struggle every single day..thats why I am on here now just made the boys lunch and I am dying to eat!!!!arrggghh!!!! but I have just put the kettle on, I am going to put some more washing out, and then have a tom soup...that should do the trick!!.

Your blip on the weekend was even smaller than mine...........!
The prob is though once you had put one thing in its like opening flood gates...and so so hard to get back from the edge of a binge! So bloody well done you!!!

I guess I am lucky in some ways that vic works nights and he doesnt eat before he goes to work so I dont have to prepare a dinner for him...(just sarnies that he takes with him)just the boys and then I am usually so busy doing other stuff I dont think about eating it! But then in a bad way makes the evenings longer..........but having said that I dont have any one to answer to if I want to go to bed early!

Anyways washing isnt going to dry sitting in the basket....chat later hon...and well done on getting to day 5!!

hugs Lou X

PS its nice to have a reply to my thread...seems we are a bit forgotten about on the re-starters....:wave_cry:

Snap Day 5 for me to, it's like tripplets you me and NooNoo hehe- it seems to have gone quite quickly doesn't it! Are you ss'ing instead of 790'ing then Len? 5lb loss is brilliant though well done :) Im scared to get on my scales in case I haven't lost anything!

You have done so well so far - won't be long before we're all at target then we can have other things to talk and think about! It's as if CD takes over my brain when Im on it!!

Nxx

I know exactly what you mean by CD taking over your brain!!

Yes I am SSing this week and then moving onto 790 next week then depending how it goes move onto 1000. I need to get on with this and do it properly now - moving up sensibly rather than yo-yoing back to 790.

All my life I have been half of a twin set and now I am a third of triplets hahaha:D Its great us all being on the same day together.

Take care

I can't believe I am now on my 6th day of SSing - I haven't got an official weigh in this week either!:D

I am finally in that place where I need to be and enjoying this diet again.

Most of the time I am fine and not hungry but for some reason last night I was soooo hungry about 8.30pm so I brushed my teeth and went upstairs to bed (I didn't go to sleep - just watched TV until 10.30pm ish) Apart from TOTM arriving early I haven't suffered too much with symptoms either - just the odd headache.

I am managing approx 3 - 4 litres everyday and I feel great. I even watched John eat a whole packet of Jaffa Cakes last night....hahaha I hate Jaffa Cakes anyway so it really wasn't a problem.

I also went to Tescos last night to get John some peppered sauce for the steak that he was cooking for himself and I didn't give in to my chocolate cravings (I can always eat chocolate and I had been reading another thread on Wispas:D)

I am on day 6 and so proud of myself. I hope all you other day 6ers are also feeling like this - there are a lot of people struggling with re-starting at the moment so we deserve a huge pat on the back.

I have started my water intake today - I'm just finishing the first litre. I will have my breakfast shake around 10am with a cup of peppermint green tea.

Hope you are all well and doing great - we will beat the blubber :D

Good morning Mrs Positive!!!!!!!!!!

Wow you really are 'in the zone'!!! Good for you honey!!
Well done on defeating the choc cravings and the jaffa cakes..even if you dont like them its hard to sit and watch....so well done you!!

DAY 6............we are such FAB people...I too feel like you really pleased to be abck on the diet and being in control again.it feels really good!!

Have a fab day honey and well done on the water intake.

Hugs to you!!

Well done Lenny - your doing great - thank you so much for you good luck message on my weigh in. The support on these pages really helps - Keep going

I was down 5 -would have hoped for more but I am bloated (totm) think that means "monthlys"(will pick up the lingo soon)

Take care - best wishes for day 7
Alison

Morning all,

I'm not so upbeat today - I paid my daily trip to the scales and I've gained 1lb - yes gained:cry:.

The only way I can explain this is that my actual TOTM is due this Sat and I'm retaining water. (I know that TOTM arrived early last Sat but it hasn't been "proper" if you know what I mean - sorry TMI)

I have been 100% every day so I know that it can only be that but it doesn't make me feel much better. I think I have PMT heading my way - I can feel it in my bones:p and in the twinging stomach cramps I have now.

Still managing to SS but today is my last day and then I start 790 tomorrow. Technically I shouldn't have been SSing this week as I am BMI25 + 1 stone:rolleyes: but I need a kickstart.

Anyway today is going to be really busy, the accountant is retiring next week and is coming in today to show me how to do the VAT return and bank reconciliation (Sp?)???? So I will be busy with her and then someone from the external accountants are coming in to see me to introduce themselves and have a look at how we do things here. They are taking on the payroll and all things legal to do with the finance side and I will be doing the paperwork in the office and paying people and wages (when they tell me what to pay that is:p)

Also we are having a meeting later to give notice to one of our employees on his 3 mth trial. He started 3/9 and so far hasn't worked one full week and in some case only worked 4 days out of one month!! So he is going.

Tomorrow I might get on here but John is having laser surgery on his eyes to correct his sight & colourblindness and I am taking him and bringing him back from Cheltenham. So a day off work and a morning in Cheltenham mooching around in the shops while waiting for his lordship. Then back home to do housework:sigh:. Some people that John works with are coming to Stow this weekend and we have got to entertain them on Sat/Sat Night. This does mean a meal out unfortunately but I will try to be good.

Stow horse fair is on tomorrow too so it will be good to get out of the place for a while. Stow is literally overrun by gypsies and travellers for the day - tbh not much horse trading goes on anymore but there are lots of craft stalls etc. Unfortunately the rest of Stow grinds to a halt in the week coming up the fair as the police close most places due to previous trouble caused by the troublemakers of the bunch who arrive days before the fair (they are only supposed to arrive the day of the fair)

Anyway thats enough of my waffle - I'm on my first litre and I'm off to take some paracetamol for my stomach.

Bye for now - take care & have a great day:D

Good Morning Ladies,

Day 9 and I have shifted that 1lb!

Yesterday was a good day - I spent 3.1/2 hours window shopping in Cheltenham - although I did go into McDonalds and have a grilled chicken salad with balsamic dressing for lunch. I threw out the croutons and didn't eat the tomatoes. I washed it down with a bottle of water. Not too bad in all- it could have been so much worse.

I did succumb to chocolate though and had a Wispa bar. I will not beat myself up about this. I did loads of walking around yesterday and went home to do the housework.

I had my soup and hot choc mint shake for dinner & supper and I drank plenty of water - not quite 4 litres but I didn't want to drink too much while in town cos of being away from a toilet.

So all in all not a bad day - this morning I am on my 1st litre and will aim to have my breakfast shake around 11am ish. (If I can wait that long) I will finish work then go home to do the ironing!

Hope you are all well?

Take care and have a great weekend.

I've just adjusted my tracker to show my 5lbs loss this week to make me feel motivated until official wi on Tuesday. I will adjust accordingly after that.

I want to be in the 9's before Xmas - so 1 st minimum....Is this doable do you think?????

Anyway I'm off now - I won't get on over the weekend so......BYE.:D

Morning Girls:D

I hope you all had great weekends????

My weekend went as follows:
Friday - finished work went home and had my soup then promptly fell asleep. John woke me to tell that the people we were having dinner with on Sat had just pulled into the driveway:eek: I went downstairs and had a cuppa with them and then they left. John went down the pub to join them for drinks but I stayed behind with my hot choc shake.

Sat - I went to a outlet factory place with my twin (Di) and spent £147.00 in the Le Creuset shop:eek: then I bought myself some knee high boots and some skinny jeans (exactly same make but one size 14 and the other 12 - go figure!?) Then we went onto McDonalds and I bought Di a Chicken legend meal and I had....a bottle of water - how proud should I be:D. We went over to mums and had a cuppa then went home to get ready to meet people for a meal down the pub. I had chicken curry but I left most of the rice on the plate.

Sun - John had invited said people around for Sunday lunch too:eek: They are nice enough but three days in a row was a bit too much. I did eat 2 small roast potatoes and some carrots but refused dessert of treacle tart and cream. Stuck to my shakes for the rest of the day. Bella wasn't very well today and had us both worried. She is normally on the go 24/7 but today she was so lethargic and just wanted to cuddle up with Mum (Me) now normally she is Johns dog but when she is ill she just wants me hehehe. She refused to eat chicken or lamb and didn't drink either.

I didn't manage enough water again over the weekend but I am drinking for England today.

Bells is still not 100% today but there is an improvement on yesterday. She is with the in-laws today and I will collect her later. She is drinking some and has had some meat.

I don't think that I will have lost any more at wi but I won't have gained at least.

Just finished my brekkie shake and on my second litre of water.

Have a good day all.

Hey well done you and fab weekend had by you!!

Now that you are on your 790 socialising will be a bit easier...but as you say 3 days in a row is a bit too much!!

I ended up nibbling a bit this weekend...but have just returned from wi and have 10 1/4 lb in 11 days whooppee!!!

I was considering 790 but, I dont think I am disciplined enough...so will stick to ss-ing with the odd AAM I think. We are out for dinner on sat night with vics work, its a leaving do for him as well as an early xmas meal...but its at a chinese of all places!! I am going to eat but think I will have to stick to boiled veggies or a chicken chop suey(or which ever the beensprouts one is!!)
and then drink plenty of water too, I will be driving so drink isnt a prob.
wi will be on the mon, so if I ss before and after I should be ok.

Anyway off to clear up a bit, hope Bella is feeling better today.
Well done again on your weekend and the Mcds discipline!

hugs to you and here to another week of healthy eating/ssing

Lou XXX

Good Morning,

I have a confession to make....I have been eating chocolate. Not huge big bars like previously but the odd standard size one.

I think that will be why I haven't lost anymore this week. I was 1lb down on Sat but Sat night and Sun carbs put paid to that. I have actually been weighing all my portion sizes of all the 790 allowed items too!

So I think it will be 5lbs in two weeks for me:rolleyes: That is rubbish to be honest and I'm not too happy with myself. I will not lose the 14lbs before crimbo if I keep going like I am with the cheating.

On another note - John gave me the cash for my new boots, so i had a result there;)

I have WI at 5.30pm tonight so I will post the results later.

Wish me luck?????
