Weight vs Dress size?

This one is for the ladies really. Was just wondering if those of us that are similar in weight are similar in dress size? I am trying to get a rough picture in my mind of when i am going to fit into each dress size? Although I know some of us may weigh the same but be a completely different shape therfore a different dress size, I just thought it would be interesting to see! So I weigh 13st 10lbs and am in a size 20 top and bottoms although I think I may be an 18 on top as I like my tops baggy at the minute

I weigh 13stone 3 and I wear a size 16. When I weighed 11 stone 10 I wore a size 12/14 more a 13 so in between sizes. I'm hoping to get down to 10 stone and wear a comfy size 12

Thanks stephielou87, that is my main goal also, a comfy 12! I think I may actually be able to fit into an 18 as when I walk a size 20 starts to fall down on me and I have to keep pulling them up- shopping at the weekend it is then! x

I'm 13 stone 7, wear a size 18 on top (big boobs), size 14 on the bottom! How tall are you though? Obviously someone who is 13 stone and 5 foot will be considerably broader (and so a larger dress size) than someone the same weight who is 6 foot!

Well that would explain it then as I am 5ft 2!! Reckon it's my huge hips and baby belly that makes me a more larger size also! x

Hi Hun, I'm 5'2" as well. I was a comfy size 12 around the 10st - 10st 7 mark.

im not sure about the conversion but i am about 5ft 4 and 190 lbs. im currently wearing about a size 16 thats too big and a 14 thats too small somewhere in the middle there... i want to be an 8 ..cause 8 is great

I am 5ft 4 and weight 12 stone 12lb and I'm currently a 14 in a large majority of shops. Obviously the likes of Topshop (tiny sizes!!!) I am still a 16.

It all depends on your height and bone structure, so how you carry your weight.

*at my heaviest I was 9 lbs heavier than this but I have no stats. I just wore 'big' sz 18 clothes - I have never bought a sz 20 even though I clearly was that size.

I am 5'5.75'' so I round that to 5'6'' for BMI purposes.

When I was 137 lbs - BMI 22.5 - I was a size 8-10 waist and size 12 bust and hips.

So far it has taken me 1.5 st to drop a dress size - going from a size 18/20 to a size 16/18

I starting slimming at 14 stone 9lbs and was a comfy 16 top and bottoms. Im quite tall though, 5ft 8.

Ive lost 12lb up to now (WI tomorrow) in around 5 weeks. Im still a size 16 but its a little loose. Ive bought a size 14 dress and its still too tight. hoping it will fit soon!

I'm 5'7, 27, and weigh 16 stones 10 pounds and wear a size 20, I usually need a 22 dress, so it doesn't cling to me or so my bum doesn't lift it up lol I can fit into size 18 bottoms but I like my bottoms really loose and baggy, 18's can be clingy on my thighs :S

I'm nearly 5ft 8 my last weigh in was 12st 3lb depending where I shop to what size I am!? I still don't know!!

Top 12/14 depending on where
Bottom 14 now but I still can't fit in certain. 14s all depends on the style.

At the minute there is nothing I like in the shops so haven't really tried much on since losing just over 2 stones so I'm not really much help!! Sorry! I've always been out of proportion so I don't think I'll never end up one size all over!!

shops are funny sizes, new look and topshop in particular. i have to go at least two sizes bigger in there than anywhere else

im 5ft 4. but i find it easier now to find proper fitting clothes as i have more muscle now then before. x
