I found it really hard trying to stick to the attack phase whilst faced with those types of scenarios but depending on the menu I would stick with steak type options as I could hold back on sauces and just leave the veg which also didn't draw too much attention to the fact that I was dieting.

Thanks No1RangerGirl - I think I shall do precisely that - order steak & salad and then ignore the salad or pretend to pick at it. I did that yesterday at lunch and had a huge grilled plaice and ignored the salad. I know it's not an ideal time to start a diet with lots of socialising but I figured that no time was ever ideal so I might as well just get going.

I have started a diary too!
 
As long as your mind is set on the end result, that's the only time that is a good time and you are deffo doing all the right things to make it work.
If you're ever stuck, this is definitely the place for some helpful tried and tested advice. The daily food diary thread is a god send for identifying any little baddies which you may unknowingly sneak in.

Thanks! It went okay, I faked a bit of wine and a bit of toast with my terrine and then ate a huge chunk of steak. Hopefully the few bites I did eat won't derail me but I am feeling pretty good today after my poached eggs and fat-free bacon.
 
Put muffins in the sugar free jelly and cover it with custard, sweetened yogurt on the top!! Proper pudding!! Cx
 
Hello fellow dukanettes!!
I am writing just to say thank you to all of you! You are all so kind and friendly and with great advice always, that you have been an absolute essential to my diet.
Most of the times I am silent here but I feel like I know you all!
Anyway, I wanted to tell you all that today I am leaving for a short vacation being 15 lbs lighter than last month when I began the Dukan journey. Who would believe?
I have struggled for so many years with my weight, going to nutritionists etc, and now I am doing this with the sole help of a book and you guys! I am still overweight, but I can wear almost all my clothes which were hanging in my closet for such a long time.... I am leaving and planning on staying on plan even if at the beginning I thought that I would go conso ish for this week I'll be away. But now I will continue cruising happilly!
Everyone here that moves to Consolidation gives me such pleasure and hope, I am so happy for you, for us, moving to the right direction.
So I wish you all the best, may the new us in our mirrors resembles more who we really are and gives us strength to live the life we dreamt of!
Keep at it everyone! you are doing something great for yourselves! :thankyou:
