Yes the travel lodge is about 50 paces up the street but not sure it'llbe cheaper than £49 for a room.... Me andMandy stayed there last week and it was £66 for a twin room.... in fact just checked for you hun.... it's £66 a night for twin room..... at the mo the some are getting the Jurys for £49 a night tho that non-refundable..... having stayed at both I'd say Jury's much nicer....reckon I'mgonna have to book else they will have no cheap rooms left - just seems ages away..!!!

Gosh - can't believe there are so many 'signed up' already! lol It's brilliant. It just goes to show how supportive and encouraging these meets are and fun too!

I love the afternoon time of sharing and getting to know one another and the friendships forged. The way we can chat about the VLCD we are on and how we cope with it.

I love the way we all have that 'We Mean It This Time' attitude and outlook , no matter what stage of the journey we are at.

I love the fact that people come who are at all differecnt stages in the journey - some are at the start, some in the middle, some maintaining have lost their weight, some struggling, some flying high.. I love the diversity of it all!

I love the evenings where we all do our own thing and , as there are so many of us, some boogie, some chat, some eat, some drink, some SS, some don't. Difference is to be celebrated and embraced as well as that wonderful common thread we all share. The VLCD. That's why I particularly like these meets - everyone who comes is on / or has lost their weight on, a VLCD (apart from the occassional friend who might come along too). I like that, I like that we all share in the problems of VLCD, the highs and lows and that we can discuss them one on one with others. For me, this is so encouraging and supportive.

I'm glad it is a WeMitts meet too. All ARE welcome, of course, but for me, it is inspiring to be among others who have an 'I CAN DO THIS' mentality. So... just having a bit of a ramble as to why I feel so happy that another WeMitts meet is already established for September.

I think I'm booked in...although got a call this morning telling me that I hadn't turned up for my reservation?? I booked 2 days ago and it's a 30 day min advance booking? they've gone nuts!! Think it's sorted now though!!
