Whats for tea tonight?

My books are quite out of date, and can't remember whether I can have Philly as a HEX, if so I'll definitely be using it as a sauce instead of synning it. Can you tell me how you do your cheese sauce please. I made one the other day with Philly, garlic and chicken stock. It was really good but always n the look out for good alternatives :D

Thanks, Mosh X
Good news, you can have 75g of philli light as an a choice! Which is lots :) x

I have no idea -

Hubby wanted chicken & chorizo jambalaya but not sure if I'm honest if I fancy it - actually I always enjoy it so looks like we'll have that :)

Really?? How do you make it?
I've only ever cooked pigeon by pan frying -

Sauté some onion & garlic add a good tbsp of cranberry sauce & cook till nice & bubbling then ass the pigeon breasts sliced. Literally 2/3mims & served over chopped salad

This was an easy, slow cooker job.....
I had a load of breasts (which I butchered myself), potatoes, frozen veg casserole mix( onion, carrot, celery, turnip & swede), handful of pearl barley, covered with stock and left it all day.
Just finished a big bowlful - was yummy

I have done panfried before, but never with cranberry - that's one for another time :)

Steamed tiger prawns and cod done in garlic, ginger, chilli, kaffir lime leaves, lemongrass and Thai seven spice. Served with steamed cherry tomatoes, pak choi and noodles. Nyum, ready in 15 minutes and I can't wait! :)

Bit of a throw together.... It's not a recipe as such, more of a I have some cooked mince and need to do something with it

It has the following (can't really give quantities but just adjust to mince portion size as you see fit!)
onion, grated carrot, mushrooms all fried off.

Then add the mince and brown off.

Add chopped tomatoes, Tom purée, rich beef stock pot and herbs/spices - I used oregano, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, chilli flakes and garlic granules.

Reduce and thicken. Stir in a can of baked beans and pour in a casserole dish.

While all that was going on I'd chopped some small potatoes (leaving skin on for fibre) and roasted with some salt and pepper sprayed with frylite. When practically cooked, place on top of mince mixture, coat with HexA cheese and bake till melted / cooked / heated through.

Serve and enjoy! Xx
