What's on your plate

I took my son for his jabs today and while sat in the doctors surgery, they had posters for this on the wall (aimed for people with diabetes). So I had a google to find it online when I got home, as I thought it might help some of here, as it better explains the 1/3 of your plate superfree kind of thing which Slimming World promote. :). It is great for helping to understand portion control.

It's wierd but I was at the hospital with my Mum yesterday and saw a bit noticeboard about diabetes and thought how perfectly SW fit in with it. They also had some 'horror' pictures of rotting hands and feet that result in not looking after yourself if you have diabetes and that certainly scared me! Yet another reason to do this for life!

My Mum has diabetes and follows the SW plan...she has recently reduced her medication as she has lost 6 stone in weight. Funnily enough, she follows the EE plan and loves it!
