I know there are some teas which I can, and some which I can't drink.
Can you tell me which ones I can and can't drink please.
Can I drink the new Lady Grey tea?

    Hi YG,
as far as I know any tea made from the "tips" are ok, but no fruit teas.
I've tried normal tea i.e PG tips, Assam Tea which smells malty like horlicks and earl Grey which is slightly fruity.

    Hiya

When I asked head office last year about Lady Grey and Early Grey I was told they were fine as the amounts of orange/lemon/bergamot where so small that they wouldn't have any effect on ketosis.

Yep that's what I was told too - but they are the only exceptions as far as I know - the rest have to be made from the leaf (so no fruit, flowers etc).

I have discovered I love green tea and its allowed!

Peppermint Tea is allowed too, I can manage a cup but wouldn't have much. Its ok for a change though!

I have a box of it in the cupboard that is just sitting there. If it was allowed, then I would have drunk it for variety. Now I'll pass it on to a friend who I know likes it!
