I have always drunk sugar free squash, but my CDC said not to anymore on this plan. She did'nt really explain why. I am using the sunshine orange but not in excess. Why are sugar free squashes not recommended?

I always thought it was because of the citric acid content and the effect it can have on ketosis.
Also, without sounding like a fuddy duddy and thru experience, I would say that once you start adding things that arent part of the diet such as squash, boullion powder, jelly etc and nibbling and bits here and there then where does it stop? Some people are always looking for extra things they can have on this plan and its just not advisable.
Stick to what CD says... not what other people say you can get away with having and your losses.... and mind frame will be much better
